So why isn't Eric Andre the Joker yet?

He's dating Rosario Dawson.

The man has a burgeoning comedy career and dating a successful and incredibly beautiful woman.

Why ruin that by playing in a dying franchise?

Maybe he can get a marvel gig hook up.

On top of what people have already said, the company sends agents more "mundane" clips of the interviews and most of them do no research beyond that. As the interviews are actually around 2-3 hours, they get edited down to the 3-5 minutes after Eric has completely mentally broken his guests with (in his own words) torture.

And on the rare occasion that someone that DOES know what's going on appears on the show, Eric fucks with them a thousand times harder. Jimmy Kimmel knew, so what Eric did was get Jimmy's son (who happens to be an intern on his show) to hide under his couch and tickle his balls since he didn't think Jimmy would sue his own son.

And surely a comedian like Jack Black must know about Eric, so just how hard does he go in on him? Well, you've already seen it it seems.

The downside to all this is more people become aware, and so Eric has said he can probably only get away with one more season before everyone knows the deal.

Edit: And yeah, the only guest that has actually outweirded Eric was Dennis Rodman because the guy is legitimately insane.
 
I have never heard of this show before and I'm already 20 something videos deep (and counting)

This is the type of nonsense I've been looking for.

White people here. If the actor is correct for the part, he or she can be any colour in the rainbow.
And this gif absolutely seals it. I can 100% see this guy as the Joker.

So did Andre just randomly let Reddick in on the joke and staged his entire visit, or did Reddick really just do great research and decided to play along? I love how Reddick even does the recurring smashing the desk joke, that's some excellent research if he came up with all of it on his own.
 
I feel like he wouldn't cooperate well with the rest of the cast.

I still wonder if his reaction there is real or if he's just an amazing actor. The shocked look and the way he uses his hands to block a possible hit just seems so real.

He's actually a pretty normal guy when he's not being in character. He'd probably not give people rats and used condoms.

That's not how employment opportunities go, there is a lot of institutional racism in many industries. Sadly, skin colour counts for a lot so there's no such as colourblindness in terms of that.
 
I was wrong about Heath ledger being wrong for the position of joker.

Maybe Eric Andre could pull it off, but I'm honestly not seeing it
 
I was about to disagree after seeing those clips in the OP but I saw the light after looking at others.

He's not a perfect fit but he has the potential to really own that character on film.
 
He's better than Leto, but I think he falls into the same trap of looking like he's acting insane.

My favorite Joker scenes: Joker's Favor, with Return of the Joker, and Mask of the Phantasm, and I think they do a good job of showing what I want. The random mood swings, the fake "friendliness," how completely incomprehensible his plan is, and the general feeling that he's an insane guy trying to act normal rather than the other way around.

But like I said, he can't be worse than Leto.
 
He is black and would likely have to do it in 'White face', which is offense so highly unlikely it will happen.
Even if he would bring a new energy to the character and wipe the floor with the last interputation
 
What the hell about those clips makes you think Joker? They were funny but not once did I think wow this guy would be a great Joker. This is the same kinda casting thinking were people see a bald guy and think he should play Lex Luthor just because he's bald. "Hey wait... he's bald... Lex is bald.... omg I found the next Lex!"

I still maintain that Tilda Swinton would be an amazing left field pick.
 
Man he'd make a great joker but only after he investigates 3/11.

So jealous of this bastard dating my future wife.
 
Also I'd like to see Lauren Cohan actually get a chance to play a female joker. That was one of the few things in BVS that had promise.
