I was just looking at Atlus's Wikipedia entry and saw a Persona listing for 3DS as TBA. Was this announced at some point or just speculation?

It was announced on one of those pre-launch support lists. Just like how Shin Megami Tensei was announced for PS3, and PSVita. Which is to say, don't take that "announcement" to heart.

There's nothing announced yet, so we don't know.

But I'm expecting the next Persona game to be a Ps360 or Vita game.

Nintendo seems to get the Devil games, while Sony gets Persona all the time.

Atlus doesn't really do multi platform do they? I expect the next Persona to be a late PS3 game built from what they learnt while making Catherine. (With the possibility of a 360 version being made too)

Atlus seems to be getting close to Nintendo for a lot of there stuff so I wouldn't be shocked if it ends up there to be honest.

I expect Persona 5 to hit PS3 and 360 with a potential Wii U version (Nintendo seems to be building up some relationship with Atlus) and later down the road a Vita port.

I don't think 3DS will be getting a Persona any time soon if at all. I would like a "Golden" edition of P3 and that's something they might release on 3DS, but then again P4 Golden sold quite well, so why not just put it on Vita?

Brand new in-house engine if I remember correctly. Definitely not Gamebryo.

In any case I'm guessing Atlus will benefit from dat Nintendo money and SMTxFE to create the assets and demons they'll use for the next 15 years. Lesser expense.
Ironically except for this game I don't expect much on Nintendo platforms.

Persona 5 will be on PS3 and possibly 360.

Zero chance it ends up on the portables.

A port of another? Maybe, but don't hold your breath, they've all been exclusive to Sony platforms.

And porting it from PS3 to 3DS is much more work then porting from PS3 to Vita. I could be wrong though.
