Honestly, as longer as I think about it, it might be possible. The Dragonborn is definitively an iconic video game character.
The fact that he only represents one game or that Skyrim is coming after five years after it's original launch doesn't really matter.
I think the only thing that matters is if Sakurai, Nintendo & Bethesda wants him in the game. And I personally would even love him to be in there. As much as Ridley and Classic Ganon.
Using Fus Roh Dah during a Smash fight would really a fun experience. But like I said, Sakura, Nintendo & Bethesda needs to want him to be in the game. And at this point we really don't know if that would be possible from a business perspective.

Default model would be the character seen in most of the promo material, a fierce looking Nord with a horned helmet. Then there could be a different armor set and race combo for each alternate costume.

Only visually. But it is old school in that it is her/his abilities that speak for her/him. Since it isn't hard to imagine how it would play differently from any other character with a sword, but a hard task to think what it would say, or how it should look.

If you had a Red Guard in Oblivion and you just kept increasing athleticism you could be jumping 7 feet in the air. And think about how many times you jump in a hour in a TES game, this fucker does more jumping than almost anyone in the roster besides Mario and Co.

Gags like this would be perfect for the character too. Elder Scrolls is pretty well known for it's bizarre happenings and behavior. If they wanted to keep it straight-faced though, I'd love to see the Scroll of Icarian Flight as his Up+B.

I do think Smash should have a western gaming rep in there but for that I'd say Rayman would be a much better fit than generic gritty western RPG guy. Or Madden for the utter ridiculousness of it - he'll throw footballs at you, attack you with X's and O's from the playbook, taunt you with a turducken...

The dovahkiin's armor and style is pretty characteristic. Hell, I bet a shitton more people would recognize the dovahkiin before they have a clue of who Corrin or Robin are.

I wouldn't like it, but it also took me some time to come around on Cloud. Maybe if I saw him in game I would dig it.

That being said, I agree 100% with the people saying that Doom Guy would be a better Bethesda rep.

He'd never actually be in the game. But could he fit in? Yes most definitely. Have a pretty cool moveset too.

Up Special: Whirlwind Sprint? (Not sure for this one couldn't think of anything)
Side Special: Fus Ro Da (most iconic shout. Huge knockback but no damage. Similar to Mario FLOOD)
Down Special: Shadow Warrior (similar to Ryu, he'd become invincible for 1 hit. Then uses a dagger to attack. Small damage with no charge but huge damage when charged)
Neutral Special: Bow and Arrow (Longer charge for more range, but can aim like Pit. After shooting cab hold special longer to swing bow like Corrin Dragon Fang)
Jab combo: Sword,Sword,Fire spell (Like Robin)
FTilt: Shield Bash (super low damage, but good base knockback. Good "get off me" move)
FSmash: Lightning Spell (like Megaman Fsmash but not as large)
DTilt: Sword Swipe at enemy feet. (Corrin Dtilt)
Down Smash: Ice spell on both sides (Similar to ice climbers down special but can't go constantly)


I'll finish this later. But this is a good start. Everyone can see what I'm getting at

It could work well mechanically, and if Sakurai has proven anything about the rules it's that there are no rules.

That said it's pretty unlikely. It would be a pretty iconic choice though. Maybe we could get some Daedric Prince assist trophies in as a package deal...
