So, Xbox "Creators Collection" is gone...

Those little fun games are not in the store anymore. I got some for a few bucks, and i loved browse in that section, reminds me xblig...

Some creators are pissed, no warning was sent to them...Also, they dont reply people e-mails about this topic.
Super disrespectful.

You can still search for some games, but that does not help at all.

This is how Microsoft rolls. They always flip flop. I don't trust corporations in general but Microsoft is particularly egregious, and frankly I can't understand how people still buy any of their products.

Any time I ever enjoyed anything from this company they immediately took it away.

I notice too this when they updated the xbox store with the new layout and the section is gone.
 
I wasn't aware of this either, probably didn't advertise it at all or put it face front on the store because this looked like a good idea and something that MS should invest in.

But Microsoft tends to be an engineering company run by people who come from such a background, they seem to have trouble knowing how to target or make something for most people and like to just tinker and change things, i think Steve Jobs even said this was the case and the reason why Apple started beating them at a lot of things when it comes to consumer market.

Lots of indie developers, doing their games for months, and now they can post, but there's no section to see the new games.

Some just stopped their projects, well, in resume what MS did was a MASSIVE disrespect.

So, the Xbox is already being ignored by many indie devs(a lot just seem to come to PS4/Switch/PC while the Xbox is ignored entirely or it takes years for a port to appear) and their response is to take out a section?

Heck, i went to MS Store on my Xbox a few times and i never saw this section somehow, they also weren't putting it right in our faces, at least Nintendo went all out on indie gaming with Nindies becoming a thing.
 
Such a stark contrast from when they were pioneers with Xbox Live Arcade.

Plus evey xbox can be a dev kit. They need to find more ways to highlight user content.

It's a big loss, I'm sure all of us could talk at length about the 100's of hours we have all poured into games from the creators collection. Maybe Hendrick's could start and we could take turns spinning a yarn or two about the better days when the creators clubs was among us.

it was a huge mistake to get rid of the Xbox Live Arcade category.

Why dont you go back to playing driveclub online? Or how about buying some games on the wii shopping channel?
Hey maybe you could go get some ps1 games in the classic section of the psn store or how about playing the last of us online on ps3?
Why not download and install linux on the ps3?

That's fair in this case. What I have a problem with is the larger pattern with MS and I concede this particular case is not strongly illustrative of that.

This thread are only for Sony Fanboys so. They can hate for any reason they found. Here on GAF it's normal you find more PS guys than XBOX. don't click on these posts and all is good.

I...can't disagree, like i said, i have a Xbox, never even knew this existed, and none of the games look good there, granted, it's just the icon the developers choose for the store, but the names and the icons themselves don't exactly grab my attention.

At best Solitaire HD but mostly because i know Solitaire, even then, i can just play Solitaire on my smartphone.
 
I remember browsing this section for hours upon hours in video game bliss. So many choices, ranging from pop the red balloon all the way to ultimate solitaire. WTF were MS thinking!!!!!!!!

Only the store category disappeared. You can still use dev mode to make your own game.

Because i like underground indie games, same as indie doujins, as a programmer myself, i love to see and support those guys.

Look Deric, we know you snuck into your Xbox-loving neighbours house to take this, thats why its all dark, they were sleeping two feet away weren't they? I can't believe you would go to such lengths to appear as a fan of both PS and Xbox.

You're full of it. Delisting is one thing from the store, but owners still have access to downloading and playing the game. Don't post if you're going to lie to spread half truths. You're part of the problem.

They didnt delist anything, just removed the category from the store. You can still use dev mode to make your own game.

Honestly, obsessive fanboys of anything that just seem to want to annoy everyone that doesn't agree with them or want to ruin what others love are the ones that are toxic, but those are around for everything, not just games and it's not just Xbox/Sony/Nintendo/PC fans.
