Take the contents of your "real" taco and dump them into a hard shell. It immediately becomes ten times better. Nachos and soft tortillas are way messier than a nice, hard shell.

It's a fucking mess, no matter how hard you try to keep everything in its place, ingredients will fall off the taco, salsa will drip and your hands will end up messy and sticky.

I googled those and the tortilla indeed looks way closer to that of an actual taco, but then I saw the slice of yellow cheese and my brain went back to not being able to see it as a taco, lol.There's Tacos Dorados that aren't like flautas... they just are more similar to a jack-in-box taco than taco bell taco.

Corn tortilla should be slightly fried so you sort of get a soft taco and a hard taco. It's not either or.
