Something living in my ceiling - 3rd night, no sleep

It's been going on for two weeks now actually, but it was never this noisy. I called my super and they sent someone out Friday to lay traps in my attic. I guess they are finally getting caught.

They said it's raccoons but I'm pretty sure it's an opossum. Imagine waking up at 3am to this sound:

....yeah ... not sleeping.

They know you have the Ring. You must leave the Shire.

that sucks op.

Sounds incredible frighting. There was a giant spider not even inside our house and i lost a little sleep when we didn't recover the body after killing it. Could imagine if something was living inside the walls.
Try sleeping with a weapon close like a toy light-saber or a plastic replica of the gunblade from FFVIII

Woke up around 5:30am to more screeching. I sat up and saw what look like a pool of blood running out from under my bed. I freaked a little bit until I grabbed my glasses and noticed that it was my red shirt that I was wearing earlier. Apparently it fell off my bed (guess I left it there)

:-/

Possum-gaf assemble? Could this be part two?
Go check it out OP. Don't be afraid and don't trip on stairs or ladder.

I'm not falling for your trickery!

Had a family of bunnies living under my porch until my cat and dog went on a tag team murder spree for the 2nd summer in a row.

Ugh... hope they all get caught soon. We've had both squirrels and raccoons in our attic and it's a profound pain in the ass :-(

I do remember being told that it supposedly works better if you place the traps outside of the attic (like, as close to the entry/exit holes as you can, maybe on the roof or gutter). So if the traps end up being empty when they check them, maybe give that a shot?

I live in an apartment, so I won't be able to get up near the roof.

I do know where the attic entrance is though. It's actually in my study in the closet where I keep all my old boxes. I thought about going up there for a peek, but I don't have a ladder or chair that can reach.

If it's any consolation, I have like 3 generations of vicious, noisy raccoons living under my deck (which is next to my bedroom) and I occasionally find bones in my backyard. :(

Ahhh, I see... well OK then. Yeah, maybe it's better that you can't reach up into the attic, since who knows if they're sick or anything nasty like that :-( Good luck though... I know how hard it is to sleep when things are scurrying and screaming up there...

Holy hell! Well, if you feel up to it and you ever decide that you want to (carefully) try your hand at trapping/relocating them, the best bait I've ever used is marshmallows (seriously!)

The Evil Dead (2013) film.

Now my turn, where is this from? :P Seems familiar!
I think it's grave encounters 1 or 2 but I'm not entirely certain. Might be an independent effects artist in YouTube too. I'm pretty sure my oldest kid and I have seen that scene somewhere.
