Rechargeable is definitely better for gaming. I sell dogfences and we sell on replaceable batteries but that's because they last 2 years vs recharging every two months. If you have gaming sessions lasting long enough to drain a DS4 then you should either replace the rechargable battery (not hard and only needs done every few years if that) or your AA batteries will only last a couple sessions and you're stuck with an inconvenience anyway. And even that is only if you only have 1 controller and you should always have a player 2 one ready and charged

You didn't answer my question. This is fanboy nonsense.

Both companies spent millions on research of controllers. Such devices are made with averaged statistical data of hand sizes. Ergonomy is about an optimal shape where your contact with the tool is made in the least straining way. If your grip and reach of analogs, buttons and triggers is natural and relaxed, without stress and straining, a controller is ergonomic. The size of the case is of secondary importance or analog placement have no impact on ergonomy, if they're within the acceptable range. I guess the Xbox controller is bigger because they took into consideration just the American population averages but it's just a guess and I have no way to support it so I'm not going to.

I told you in the very fist sentence than many people didn't lik the shape of DS4, I could go back all the way back to 2013-early 2014 threads to search for tens of posts about people claiming how bad it feels, how too small it is etc., but let's not waste my time, shall we? DS4 is just not universally acclaimed controller, you personally might love it, cool, but not everyone shares your feelings, some people will even say that DS3 was much better (especially with trigger add-ons, which IMO was its only flaw of DS3).

I asked you a simple question you failed to answer. I did not mention my preference nor did I ask you for yours because it has nothing to do with the topic (ergonomy). Yet you continue with more nonsense. Ignore it is.

It's not as ergonomic hence comfortabe as X360, XB1, PS3, and most if not all 3rd part controllers. That's my ultimate answer. Happy?

If it was just about choice then Microsoft would include their removable charge and play kit with the controller and you can choose to use it or buy rechargeable batteries.

They are providing NOTHING and making a problem for the gamer to pay to fix and people are actually bending over for Microsoft and defending it.
