The conference was alright, but I don't know why they were hyping it saying Sony was going to let off fireworks :/ But this isn't the first press conference I've seen that was hyped up too much. I remember people hyping up CES :lol
The MGS4 trailer is awesome and I can't wait to see it in hd or direct feed. Props to Kotaku for getting it up first even if it's not the best quality. Also the GT5

Relationship between the two companies hit a low point when a game from EA brought bad press to the PS3 from mainstream pubblications and the executives from both the companies were in an embarassing situation because they couldn't just blame the other openly but probably wanted to.
This relationship and the fact that FIFA08 will run well on PS3 and will be pushed by Sony it's a sign that things are going well between them.

Is the Sky thing for PS3 or just for PSP?
I expected Euro-centric megatons, which I'm not fully equipped to rate as I don't care about soccer games so the news about some of that stuff is a non-issue to me. For me there's a few really cool things announced, nothing terribly relevant to NA (yet) so I'd personally label it a mild disappointment. I had been hoping for a Shockaxis reveal so the lack of that is a bummer, but really i did expect the big news to be mostly about Europe anyway and it seems it was (that PlayTVshit better make it over the atlantic eventually!)Tiktaalik said:

It confirmed the DVR feature, which was the main thing I've been waiting for since launch. Sad we didn't see 8 Days/Getaway, but then again I doubt any of the people complaining here care about those games anyway.

Freeview is an awesome service in the UK. There used to be a weird ass subscription system called ONdigital which was a frigging disaster. It tanked, and was replaced by the free service which is considerably better. In the future it will feature HD channels too. It's much cheaper than satellite.
Who knows, perhaps this Sony thing could also offer Top-Up TV (a premium service that works alongside freeview) if it wanted, though I think its appeal would be limited.
