I'm not really sure, but I'm pretty sure it's outpacing it by quite a bit worldwide. This isn't so much about console wars, I'm talking about comparatively. The console sold nothing to start, but it's been gradually working it's way back up.

I would get neither anyway. The PS3 doesn't interest me much, 200 bucks is a bit too much for a handheld, even the 3DS, and the library of games won't be there until a few months/years. Plus, assuming you really want 3D, a PS3 would still be a heavier investment considering you have to, you know, by a 3DTV to enjoy it.

I'll just drool watching the 3DS and its games, and maybe try it out when I'm in Japan, then I'll cry in my bed because it'll be region-locked (you know it) and I can't just buy a Japanese model, can I?

The only way I can see it being real is if you have to get it with a 3D TV or Receiver.
