Naming a piece of dogshit something other than dogshit , won't make it less of a dogshit, the stench of it doesn't come from the name, but the horrendous looking trailer associated with it, they're out of touch with reality if they think rebranding that awful looking game will give it a chance, lmao

Like a lot of exec departures after a purchase it happened only slightly after 3 years, which is a pretty common length for a retention agreement.

Which sometimes is because the person already got rich and goes off to retire or invest in their next venture, but we haven't heard anything about Raymond since and the rumor was their playtest went real bad and then the game got delayed a few months after she left.

I don't have high hopes, but my hopes are probably higher than most (all?).

I've heard people refer to this genre as the...(checks notes)...Omega Genre. If it really is Gods chosen genre, then maybe it has a puncher chance? I'll probably bug the heck out of everyone after the gameplay reveal.

If you go and look at that Fairgames CGI trailer, it wasn't nearly as cartoonish as people are remembering. It definitely had a Den of Thieves vibe with some flashes of Alicia Keys, purple smoke bombs, and monkey bank robber masks, but everything else looked relatively grounded.

For real MiB you should try Tarkov. It's great (more hardcore than Marathon tho) but if you really are into these kind of games, Tarkov is a must-play.

Quick Google search confirms that Haven Studios benefits from Canadian taxpayer money paying 36.5% of employee salaries. If Sony doesn't ship this game they owe all that money back to the government.

It's literally cheaper to release it and let it bomb.

It was a horrible investment that they're now stuck with.

I never really got into any of the Payday series, I feel like that series was out at the wrong time lol A different generation and that series would have been massive.

I feel you need a lot of variation to really make some heist type online game work.
