Rumour/actual situation:
- Studio suffered a number of layoffs
- Sony restructured studio to focus on updates for driveclub and the PS+ Version
- Now that the Ps+ Version is out, new updates are planned for every month (tracks, cars, functions, modifications)
- no indications so far, about new projects

The studio lost half their team, 55 members, and the game was turned into a service. Don't expect a new project from them in the future.

After delivering with KZ:Mercenary. could they possibly take over the Killzone Franchise?

I wonder if GG Cambridge can resurrect Killzone if that assumption comes true. One of WWS's biggest failures under Yoshida has been an inability to develop a flagship FPS to rival Halo, Battlefield or CoD in terms of mindshare. Killzone 3 and especially Shadow Fall were flops in that regard.

Yes, I know, I actually flat out love the PS4 future line-up. I meant that the first-party offering is a bit underwhelming, but the library is looking increasingly fantastic by other means. And even then my opinion on the first-party offering is probably unfair because of past offerings setting the bar so high.
