Wasn't he suppose to be a big star by now? He kind of fell off the face of the earth after that movie about his characters brother dying or something.
 
He slit his wrists after the Akira movie was canned.

Also... Wtf, did you just seriously sit there and think to yourself, "I wonder what happened to Zac Efron?". Admit it, you've got a decade's worth of Tiger Beats under your bed don't you?

Yeah I think he would be a perfect fit for that.

I'm just a little surprised he hasn't been in anything for a while. He's a pretty good actor.

i also want deathnote. as far as i know the director who made kiss kiss bang bang, which is an incredibly enjoable movie, has the rights for that.

I was thinking about the actors/actresses who fell off the radar, and the most resent one I could think of was Zach Effron.

And yes, he needs to be cast in any potential Western 'remake' of Death Note.
 
I saw him driving some kind of Jeep in San Luis Obispo a couple months or so ago. He had a huge grin; looked really happy. Probably cause he knew it was shoo-in that he was gonna get tons of Cal Poly pussy while in town.

Out of the tween stars that I've seen the past couple years, I like to see Zac be successful more than the Twilight gang or Bieber.

Nah, Kirsten Stewart isn't going anywhere fast nor is Pattinson. The rest will fade into obscurity (as proven by that guys recent bomb - Abduction I think it was called), but those two will be around for quite some time.

Eh, that all depends. Stewart's only really big leading role coming up post Twilight is Snow White and the Huntsman. I really don't see it taking off too well either. I don't think either her or Pattinson really have starpower outside Twilight.
 
I think he talked to DiCaprio about escaping the teen idol image and has been trying to do that. Taking lesser roles is the only way to do that.

Eh, I think she'll be around for a while, but only after a few nude scenes, much like Anne Hathaway, she was a fading star until she started to get them out.

Basically.

He's taking a few roles here and there and staying out of the spotlight. People didnt burn out on him, he consciously stopped being in the spotlight. He has what seems to be a big movie with Apatow coming up too...
 
He definitely fits the look of Light if he's cast in Death Note. I've never seen him act though I don't know if he can play the nice/evil duality.

I'd be much more worried about L's casting since they'd probably cast Jaden Smith just to troll people.

That's probably the most correct person to get advice from about this sort of thing. DiCaprio is now the guy from Inception instead of the guy from various teen heart throbs.
