Fixed.

I owned Soul Calibur II for all three consoles (not all at once) and in the end never really cared for any of the guest characters.
 
PS3 version MUST have either Kratos or Nariko, 360 version all that really comes to mind is ninety nine nights or fable though it will most likely be some kind of version of Master Chief
 
No offense, but I'm not sure how Master Chief would work, being so futuristic. Granted, Spawn and Heihachi were from the present, but neither of them used futuristic weaponry.

Either way, I wouldn't mind see the create-a-character returned and polished up.
 
i just saw the trailer with ingame character models, if those are REALLY ingame, they are the most amazing models i ever saw in any fighting game in the history of man, which is exactly what i thought when SC1 on the good ole DC came out :)
 
Oh great, not the guest character crap again, as a Soul Calibur fan it pains me to see people say "I hope this guy is in it". Yoshimitsu in Soul Calibur was cool as was Link, it was a nice bonus for Nintendo fans & Link actually had a sword & shield ready to fight so it wasn't a bad fit at all. I don't know if I can ever forgive Namco for Spawn, Heihachi & Necrid.
I want Soul Calibur to stay Soul Calibur, it does not need characters from other games making an appearance. Well anyway if they do add guest characters I'd say Dante for the PS3 & that Ninja Gaiden dude for the Xbox 360. AND if they are put in the game, I want their costumes to change to suit the Soul Calibur world much like how Yoshimitsu is different from his Tekken counter part both fighting style & costume wise.
In fact how about no 3rd party Guest characters, Namco should create an exclusive fighter for each version of the game, now that would be better.

I think this supports my claim quite aptly. Ryu Hayabusa in the 360 version of SCIV!

Itagaki: First they put in all of these half-finished "features", then they take them right out again. Tag fights, elevation differences, walls. Kratos fits pretty much perfectly.

I don't know any microsoft characters that fit in the SC universe. Maybe some dude from sudeki?

Some of the Ninety Nine Nights characters would work, but pretty much no one really knows anything about that game.
 
The reason Kratos fits so well though is that he is from a moment in world history. I mean, he could have actually been a SC character. Maybe it's just that Kratos is so perfect for the game that most other suggestions seem kinda meh.
 
****. Both consoles can have an amazing character. Am I going to get both? Ugh. I hope one console version sucks hard. I don't care what it is, but I don't want the temptation

They would need Capcom's and Tecmo's permission, which isn't impossible, but they might not be as willing to strike a deal as MS and Sony. I'm all for it if negotiations lead to Capcom vs. Namco (the fighting game not rpg strategy).

An easier solution would be Heavenly Sword chick and... ummm... errr... that kid from Blue Dragon. Yeah they could go all grown-up Link on us.

That could work, but serious Soul Calibur gamers would by the PS3 version if it had Kratos. The Burger King would be a great joke character, but you won't see serious players playing such a character in tournaments.
