NOSTALGIA TIME! Just found this SC2 Maxi looping vid from YEARS ago, made by Spyder, possibly the best SC2 Maxi player. Not much of this is very practical, but it gives a good idea of what's possible: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1r73sM7_evQ
Yeah, that's what struck me most the longer we played. The move list and options were so good. It just allowed for such diversity when playing. I'm really looking forward to the new release. Going to be hard to go back to Natsu after playing Taki again.
Bonus characters outside of maybe Tekken was always a terrible idea. SC2 was an incredible fighter for its day, and is very likely the arcade title I pumped the most money into in single trips.
If all you think about is "Link" when it comes to the game then you really missed out. He was never anything more than just something thrown in to snag some Nintendo sales. Same as the other addons.
Every SC game has its issues. SC5 has a good core, but it wasn't polished enough, even on the gameplay (why the game has balance issues)
SC3AE is probably the pinnacle of the series gameplay-wise. (haven't played it enough to know for sure, but I've heard less complaining about it, being a fixed SC3- prob still has balance issues though)

I've championed the SC5 = best game cause since forever, mang. But people want their SC2 cast and shenanigans back. If they hadn't let go of SC2 after this long (and despite the fact that SC2 is like an outlier game), this isn't going to help.
What I like about SCV is the simplicity of its move list, but seeing SC2 moves that was kinda cool as well. SC2's lineup has SCV beat though. And its SP content ofcourse.
The first had its share of excellent tracks as well, as did Soul Edge. In the name of the father, duelists, Brave Folk Song etc. SC2 had Hubris though, which might be my fave in the franchise.

But I don't know, SCV: Ultra or SCVI?

I'd rather see Soul Calibur- and just reboot the series MK9 style with the roster from SCI-III , with SC5 gameplay (minus just guard), and a new story. Have Patroklos time travel into the past to try to fix his mistakes and save his family (basically be the Raiden of the game)- and make him a full-fledged stance switch char like Vanessa (make sure each style of his has glaring weaknesses so he has to switch it up)
I think that would satisfy what most folks would want.
