Actually those numbers are inaccurate. They're taken from different points in each games lifetime.

Here is my understanding of the situation, I've put the area that I've had to piece together in itallics:

Namco started SCIII for all systems, while planning a next-gen release as well. They were approached by one company (Nintendo) to release the game as an exclusive launch title for they're next gen system. Namco didn't want to give up a big name release for this year by delaying the game to a system that won't be out this year, nor throw away exsisting work. A comprimise was made. The PS2 would give Namco the quick sales this year, plus the longest window of sales overall (the system is going to sell longer than the other two), and not interfer with next-gen sales.

Whatever happened though, it must've happened very recently as just a few weeks back EA was expecting 4 SKUs and now there 1. :/

More polished and jag free than RE4? I will give you the jag free part because I know RE4 was pretty jaggy, but polished? I would have to play GoW to see that. RE4 was the epitome of polish IMO.

The question is, will RE4 be jag free on the PS2? That's doubtful.

I think that Soul Calibur 3 being exclusive to PS2 is real. Look, Namco made the next tales game, Tales of Legendia, exclusive to PS2, anmd this was after a tales game on Gamecube selling well. I think Namco looking at one of two things. Either they see that the markets for both X-box and Gamecube ending, or they are looking at who controls the japanese market. I think alot of Japanese companies like, Sega, Capcom, Namco, and even Nintendo look at Japan first and the western market second. Even thought the wester market is bigger then Japan now.

Edit: My money is on Powerstone 3 or Street Fighter EX 4 (Capcom recently asked Arika to make another game in the series but Arika refused... it's possible Capcom found someone else to do it or they are doing it themselves).

No, it's a sequel to an established series on the PS2 that I don't believe has even been hinted at (it may have been, but I don't surely don't remember. There are a bunch of big games for the PS2 this year.
