Funniest parts:

Butters going HISS as Cartman's mom walked in and jumping out the window.

The vampire dude coming up to the goths and the goths calling him "fagiro" :lol

Oddly enough I sort of take comfort in the fact that the episodes GAF hates are the ones I often love.

I thought the last two episodes and the Indiana rape episode have been good stuff.

I'm exactly the same. I loved last weeks High School Musical one and thought this weeks Hot Topic one was even better.

Overall season 12 wasn't one of the best South Park seasons ever but it's still one of, if not the, funniest shows on tv.

I'm glad. This half season has been a disaster. I can't believe how unfunny this show is now.
The first half of the season was pretty good though. I hope it gets better again soon.

This isn't meant to be a criticism at all, but just out of interest what shows are you watching at the moment that are funnier than South Park? I only ask because I would be interesting in watching them. I love South Park but if there's a bunch of funnier shows currently out there I'm more than willing to give them a watch.

Butters MADE this episode. His vampire impression was just... amazing. Him jumping out the window headfirst was LOL-worthy to the highest degree.

There are several quite funny things in this episode:

Butters' vampire impersonation.
The goth kids (basically everything they did).
The parodies of goth music.
The vampire kids (especially the subtle touches like the leader being concerned about being in trouble).
World of Warcraft at the beginning.
What was playing on Butters' tape recorder.

This wasn't a GREAT episode, but it was pretty solid and made me chuckle.

Overall, this half-season was RELATIVELY weak for South Park, but it still made me laugh often enough to enjoy.

NutJobJim do you watch It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia? If not, you really should.

Yeah I watch and love the show but I find that, like South Park, it can be hit and miss at the moment.

I agree that there isn't that much funny on the air right now. Sunny in Philly is good, but hit and miss like you said. The only show I currently watch that makes me laugh nearly every episode is The Colbert Report.

Jesus Christ, what the fuck is wrong with you people?

30 Rock.

this episode made me laugh so hard... probably because i was one of the goth kids in high school.

this.

It reminded me of the battle between the real goths and the wannabe Marilyn Manson 'goths'. The music parodies were spot-on.

welp, season 13 starts next wednesday. I guess this means someone should make a cool southpark season 13 thread and I don't feel I could do it justice. I mean, season 13 will be all HD. HD!!!!!

HD? Well that sucks. Why does it suck? Because Comcast doesn't have a HD Comedy Central. Which means the SD Comedy Central will probably show the episodes in letterbox format which will mean Windowboxed content on my HDTV.

Fuck.

HD?

Too little too late. It's not worth a thing if Comedy Central is still SD only in my area.

South Park in HD, I wonder how that will look

I want more Kenny this season
One word: A-fucking-mazing. If the HD episode of "Fun Times with Weapons" from Xbox LIVE is any indication.

The show is made for HD. But it's 10 years too late. I don't have Comedy Central HD, and you just know the SD version is going to display it letterboxed.

Torrents for me I guess. Unless SouthParkStudios.com is smart and puts them up in HD on the site too.

Now that it's been awhile, do you guys still think that the Obama election episode was good??

Because that episode was f*ckin AWFUL. These current event episodes are always terrible. They are as bad as Family Guy episodes(Family Guy relies on making weak connections to pop culture to get a cheap laugh out of the audience, and these South Park episodes do the same with current events).

I think it was only because it was the day after the election that you guys actually thought it was a good episode...

You guys panned that Peruvian flute band episode the week prior. At least that episode had a few good moments with Craig's commentary.

Just watched the episode again to try and see your point. Idono, I think the effect wasn't lost so much, if not for the fact that those attitudes running as themes in the show are still pretty prevalent in toay's politics. Standard season 12 I think.
