Another good one but I'm sure the usual South Park cycle here will continue.

Lovato is another former Disney star who's now going through her "grown up" phase. This fucking song was drilled into my brain thanks to WWE using it for Summerslam.

Not sure if there's an internet story for Seagal though he's kind of become a joke since his early 90s peak.

Vin got upset when people said he was a little big so he went on instagram and showed his abs off.

lol, thanks for the insight guys.

Just wondering, did anyone else get a Video in their Facebook feed of a fat kid stripping naked and showing off his really tiny penis with the headline 'size doesn't matter'? I got it and thought, why? Then this episode happened. Which sort of explained it, the timing was just too perfect.... #southparkIlluminati

I somehow don't think this is the end of Reality, I can kind of see him showing up in a later episode where he's in hell with Satan and he comes back from the dead, would make for a funny Halloween episode.

So luigi becomes Mr. L when no one watches...

guess we found out who waluigi becomes today ...

Gotta say that last weeks episode was better, wonder what's going to happen to the town that Reality dies?

Mysterion to collect the chutulu balls to wish back reality. Or they could just use mr garrison to tell people 'how it is' or something. I'm sure the GOP clown car will deliver on that end.

Also, ironically this episode did have a speech in it.
I hope we won't have to deal with broken Butters from now on (unless it's dr chaos's true supervillain origin story of course, because Marvel). I was legit worried for a moment they had decided to permanently off the best character of the show. Well, permanently if they insist on continuity.
And lastly these episodes, except for the previous one, are really tough to get through. I'm more cringing than laughing. I appreciate the experiment and all (and what that says about the show), but I'm kind of hoping we can get back to 'normal' at some point.

This season is a goddamn masterpiece so far for me, i love how they switched up the formula and added some new characters to keep it fresh. Sp staying brilliant

More lame anti-PC stuff.

I personally love it, the world is no better for the pendulum swing to extreme sensitivity and witch hunts based on inflated outrage.

Equal opportunity for all, no to bigotry, racism etc.

No to oversensitivity, witch hunts and thought police.

More lame anti-PC stuff.

I bet you were happy when Reality is lynched.

Matt and Trey have been going all out this season on noting the hypocrisy of crazy PC culture. The Safe Space song is fucking brilliant. It's clear to me that Matt and Trey seem pretty frustrated with PC culture actually, especially by killing off Reality, when all he did was speak the truth at the end of the episode. In fact, as funny as the episode was, the social commentary was full force in practically every moment.

Is it just me, or did Reality's voice sound like halfway between the Canadian voice and City Wok guy?

More of a Snidely Whiplash if you ask me.

Yep. I think the reference to Whiplash, and the "mustache-twirling villain who ties people to railroad tracks" trope might be too old for some people to get.

Just caught up with the last episode.
Amazing stuff. So happy those guys are still making things that are this relevant.

They do come out pretty out of touch and dinosaur-like during some of the anti-PC rant episodes, in all honesty.

That being said, I'll be catching up on the newest episode tonight I hope. The Yelp one had some real gold in it.

of course i know this trope, waluigi himself probably got designed whit that in mind too! The purple outfit and the mask just made me think of a funny thing with waluigi secret identity, that's all (like Mr. L)

was just trying to say something funny, wasn't actually saying that south park got it from waluigi, far from it, haha

I feel there's quite a few people on GAF that need to listen to Reality's speech.

Great episode. It will be interesting to see the seasons ends. Maybe with someone to point out PC Principal's hypocrisy?

I wasn't specifically referring to you though, hehe :)

To be fair, Waluigi does seem in part inspired by that old trope. Still, credit should be given where it's due.

No worries. It's all good.

Tha "Safe-Space" thing made me think of Miiverse.

I don't think this episode is advocating for anarchy. Without any moderation or rules, places can become very nasty. I think the point has more to do with knowing what you're getting yourself into. If you want to enter the public domain and open forum, then you have to take the good and the bad, the hard truths and the easy ones. If you want to be coddled, fine, but don't expect to find that in the open.

To that end, Nintendo is fully within their rights to create a safe space. If you want to discuss Nintendo in a more aggressive manner, there are other avenues to do so.

What a lovely charity event.
I suppose you're all feeling pretty good about yourselves, hmmm?

What have you done?

You've raised $300 by spending $500,000 on Filet Mignon and crystal glasses.

Look at you. Vin Dipshit

You say fat shaming is wrong,

So in response you show off your abs.

You're the one fat shaming, idiot!

What's the matter with you people?

You're sad that people are mean?

Well, I'm sorry, the world isn't
one big liberal-arts college campus!

We eat too much. We take our
spoiled lives for granted.

Feel a little bad about it sometimes.

No, you want to put all
your shit up on the Internet

And have every single
person say, "Hooray for you!"

Fuck you. You're all pricks.

And I've got news for you.

While you've been sitting
here trying to feel good,

the little boy who sucked all
your shit is about to die from it!

Butters's role this episode was a really nice secondary point. He's not a public figure who doesn't put himself out there and is most unable to deal with the realities of online harassment. He's the one that really does need a safe space. This season has been peppered with little nods like that that make an argument that this season isn't "anti-PC," especially when the counter-argument isn't moderation, but equally hyperbolic counter-measures. South Park has generally preached moderation, and without Kyle's episode-ending/-resetting speeches, I feel like this season is setting up a larger point against extremism.

Yep, I think it's probably the most complex commentary they have done in awhile.

Another mediocre episode. This season has been terrible so far, with its only redeeming qualities being the "boogers and cum" song, and the excellent speech Reality gave.

More lame anti-PC stuff.

“Political correctness is America's newest form of intolerance, and it is especially pernicious because it comes disguised as tolerance. It presents itself as fairness, yet attempts to restrict and control people's language with strict codes and rigid rules. I'm not sure that's the way to fight discrimination. I'm not sure silencing people or forcing them to alter their speech is the best method for solving problems that go much deeper than speech.”

Yep.

It's not anti-PC, it's anti-extremism in every respect. It's the best thing South Park have done in years - possibly ever.

I'm PC as hell to the point that a lot of GAF would probably think I was an asshole ;) but this season of South Park has been brilliant, clever and funny.

Fantastic episode.

Was it just me or did the Butters running from "the man" thing at the end have a bit of an "It Follows" feeling to it?

The charity shaming stuff was brilliant. The image of him taking the sandwich out of the little girl's mouth was fucking hilarious.

Loved that song and the "Well, I'm sorry, the world isn't one big liberal-arts college campus!" speech. South Park has been on point this season.

As always George Carlin was way ahead of the curve.

I thought this was another great episode. South Park had gotten kind of stale a few years back and the new season of continuity thing is kind of cool, though I don't think it'll take forever. I really want the season to just end simply so I can see how this all turns out.

This episode was so fucking spot on.

So many people want a censored internet with all the "hurtful" comments removed but that's not reality. They need to grow some thicker skin and learn that other people shouldn't have to coddle their every wish just so they don't get "offended"
