I'm not really feeling the new season. The last one was much stronger imho.
It would be the best if the Member Berries invoking Kenny's name brought him back and he was the one to snap everyone out of their spell.

oh there's no doubt in my mind that last season was stronger. This one is a BIT too topical. I wouldn't rank it anywhere among the top seasons of South Park. But I'm still enjoying myself.
I think it was Mega64 who said that South Park now is so topical and the episodes are done in such a fast time span it's more like a cartoon Saturday Night Live. Which hey it's fine by me. I still have all of the old seasons for the more episodic south park in Hulu.

He was in the episode "Handicar" as part of of the Wacky Races group of drivers so I wonder if they will reuse that character model or not.

Yeah the unexpected election results and presumably last minute rush to add in scenes to save the episode killed it for me. You could tell which scenes were hastily added and which were core to the episode's original intention so it felt like some good ideas mixed in with late additions to create a very strange episode that didn't make much sense. For example the entire Bill Clinton joke didn't really work given the election's true outcome. Preferred the last episode with the member berries scenes by a significant margin. The election results basically fucked this one. They absolutely needed more time here.
However there's still a strong element of plot that we got to see so everything regarding the story moving forward was pretty awesome and I'm hyped to see the remainder of the season and how everything plays out. This continuity is a breath of fresh air IMO reinvigorating the show after so many years and I'm loving it.
Pumped to see the last few episodes! Matt and Trey have still got it. Hope South Park goes on forever.

I'm enjoying the season enough and it has its highlights, the Weiners Out/Uncle Kyle/Pissing episode was best,but the current format feels very restricting. It worked last season but I'm not sure it does here. I have long had enough of Member Berries, trolls, the Dutch and some of the other ongoing gags and topics. I'm hoping they return to the looser format of two seasons ago where episodes are self contained but carry jokes and visual gags from past episodes. The excellent VR episode from that season couldn't even be done this season with the way the show has limited itself to a few narratives that are growing long in the tooth.

Yeah agreed. This one seems to be trying too hard. Member Berries are pretty funny though
If they don't have a clever new idea to work over a season (last season's PC=gentrification) then single issue episodes just hit harder.
I think that is the whole point of Member Berries we will be going back to normaal seasons.
