the one thing I'm wondering about the new episode is if
the symbiote and Eddie can't be joined anymore. Seems like Carnage might not be too far off.

Anyone want to spoil this episode for me?

The show's still not out in the US. :/

Well I'm from the US and I watched it. ;)

But
Basically, Venom screws with Peter throughout the whole episode. trying to unmask him in public and stuff. Flash comes to Peter's aid and the two are seperated by a geno sosmething another.

Seems like that's what they're setting up. Keep in mind
Cletus Kassidy has already made an appearance on an earlier episode this season, so putting him and Eddie in the same spot (as in the comics) sets it up perfectly

As far as the actual episode went, loved it, loved it, loved it :D .

Another fantastic episode. I like the abiguous Cpt. Stacy final speech.
I wonder if they're setting up his death
.

When are the new episodes sit to hit the US this March? I mean, what day . . . cause Im not waking up that early if Im not sure when its coming out. >_>

Well apparently the US will re-air season 1 first and then go into season 2. :lol

Newest episode was a fun change of pace seeing how it was mostly a chase issue with a ton of forces trying to get the black box.

Yeah, it was a super fun episode - seeing all the different gang bosses and how differently they went about getting a hold of that data was great. I especially liked how
Doc Ock just pointed Rhino at them. If he's really becoming the ringleader for the supervillains and can keep them under control, he's a force to be reckoned with. At least until Norman starts taking everything over, as we know he will.

Didn't know if you all knew, but they've aired at least two more new episodes in the last two days. In one he fights the new Enforcers and the other he's fighting the gang bosses. They were pretty neat.

Anyone know at what point in the series Captain Stacy grew wise to Parker being Spiderman? They sure are laying that on a little thick.

Wait what?
Why?
Are they trying to run out the show?

This is like JLU all over again, having it all run out in Canada before we get the new season and not knowing if gonna get anymore. :(

Yeah, I think they're running all the way to the end. I saw a synopsis of the last episode. Looks like everything's coming to a head.

After Venom outed his secret identity, most people assume that since Brock was crazy, Venom disappeared, and Pete wore the Spider-costume sans mask on Halloween, that there's no way he could be Spiderman. His history of being man-handled by his classmates helped as well.

Captain Stacey, however, knows

- Spiderman's build. He was easily able to discern that the Chameleon was a fake during Season 1, just by noting his height
- That his daughter was Venom's first (and really, only public) victim, and she happens to be a close friend of Peter Parker (who Venom claims is Spiderman)
- That Venom and Spiderman are somehow linked. He showed Jameson video footage of Spiderman in the black costume and Venom pretending to be Spiderman, noting the differences again in their build and fighting style

That would certainly raise anyone's curiosity. Even the Connors, when faced with the possibility, realized it made a lot of sense.

Stacey is a cop, so he took his intuition/suspicion and ran with it. Pete's stuttering reactions, as Parker and as Spiderman, to his subtle jabs about Spiderman having to protect his loved ones by protecting his secret identity and the one in the following episode about how he treats his students, probably sealed the deal for him.

Oh man that was some awesome stuff.

Especially in Gangland.

Sucks that it hasn't started airing in America, I want a box set to watch both seasons back to back.

I just watched #11 (Subtext), not sure when it aired, first one I've caught in widescreen, looked so good.

Thanks for the head's up... there are two more eps out now.

So up to 12.:lol

Thank god for webslingspiderswing. He's been great about putting all the episodes on YouTube, and until they finally put out a box set of Season 1 (or maybe START AIRING SEASON TWO IN AMERICA) it's the only way I can get to them.

9 and 10 were great, seeing the climax of the gang war was totally worth it.

What a surprise, Greg Wiseman (of Disney's Gargoyles fame) writes an episode with heavy Shakespearian themes, and with A Midsummer Night's Dream to boot. :lol

I think the real reason he did this episode is so he could do a
Puck and Cobweb/Green Goblin and Spider-Man
comparison.

As a final head's up, the last episode has aired.
If it is the conclusion of the series, I don't mind.
We resolved most of the major plot points while still leaving room for new arcs to continue into a possible season 3.

I for one hope the show is picked up, but the way Teletoons just kind of dumped the final 5 episodes and that it hasn't even begun to air in the States leave me worried.

I also have to say this show has some of the most beautifully choreographed fights I've ever seen in an animated series. And as it stands, is probably the best marvel cartoon ever, and maybe only 3rd to TAS and JL/JLU in terms of story and scope for comics cartoons.

such a good show. I totally called all that gobby explaination back when season 1 was airing. I super hope they pick the series back up.

Definitely the greatest superhero cartoon ever as far as I'm concerned. Season 2 was simply fantastic. I loved the subtle references to the first Spider-Man film in the finale
notably Spidey missing half his mask in the same manner his movie counterpart does)
. The twist in the episode previous to it was extremely well done as well.

There had damn well better be a third season.

I just watched Gangland, and that was the best episode of this series, so far. Where can I watch the last couple that you guys are seeing? Are they up anywhere yet?

Finished Season 2 today; great stuff. This is WAY better than the 90's cartoon, and I'll be so very sad if I don't get another season. = (

Just got around to watching the last half of the show. What an amazing show this is. This is probably my favorite comic book based cartoon. I hope the third season gets the greenlight.

What an awesome season this show was. Spectacular Spiderman is in my top 4 US cartoon shows along with Gargoyles, Batman TAS and Avatar The last airbender.

Finally got to catch it since it's on DisneyXD now and it's awesome, I saw the lizard episode today and it's pretty damn good. Love it! <3 since I'm a huge Spidey fan now.

Season 1 available July 28th

Okay got bored today and just wanted to watch an episode or two on Youtube, and ended up watching the entire first season again.

The origin/symbiote episode is REALLY well done. Such a moving episode.

The voices of the cheerleaders really annoy me...they should have just left them normal instead of trying for some wierd ethnic/valleygirl mix.

This bump made me think Season 3 news came out of Comic-Con. If only.

You and me both. Although I'd be worried about anything beyond that because it'd probably be time to dump in the gimmicks, team-ups and general craziness.

Man I got excited for a S3 bump too. It can't end with S2! They haven't even introduced Kingpin yet!

I'm always apprehensive about symbiote stuff, not so much because of the costume (black suit Spidey is pretty ace) but because Venom in general is just an ehhhhhhhh villain to me (though, for some reason, Venorpion I'm cool with). That said, SSM handled it brilliantly. I'm always impressed by how it can seem to carry the spirit of the Lee/Ditko comics while changing so much around continuity-wise.

Since I can't help gushing about the show whenever it comes up, SSM probably has one of the most compelling interpretations of Doctor Octopus out of any media. The movie did a fine job with it, but movie Ock's pretty separate from (at least early) comics Ock. Spectacular's take on Ock seems pretty believable about why he would get such a surge of arrogance and why he'd have such a chip on his shoulder. (Actually, it does a better job explaining it than his origin did--the early comics just had his being a dickhead the side-effect of the radiation!)

In addition, the show had a nice, efficient explanation for all the supervillains' creations that wasn't overly reliant on coincidences (though collapsing Montana and The Shocker into one entity was kinda a bummer to me, but I can understand not wanting to have another villain that was just a thug with powers). The season arcs were clearly thought-out and well-paced. They explored territory that probably wouldn't be explored in other media, like, y'know, freaking CAPTAIN JUPITER! And finally, the show was another linchpin to support my belief that J. Jonah Jameson is the best character in comics.

Alright....I caved and watched several episodes from season two never have given this show a fair chance. While I don't think it is better than Batman: TAS, it is probably one of the best I have seen since that time period. Pretty good stuff.

I also dig the theme quite a bit too.

I finished watching both seasons, and I have to say, it's fantastic. I really like the art style, and I'm praying in front of my Spiderman shrine hoping that season 3 starts production.

Please tell me you don't have MTV's Spider-Man in that shrine as well.
