I wonder if these'll continue to come if the sales in japan keep on going the way they've been going...

Japanese launch date: December 10th
Today's date: December 28th

Japanese Xbox 360 launch lineup: Shit

First Japanese Xbox 360 game worth owning: Dead or Alive 4 - Out now

I expect an upswing with this game, good scores in Famitsu

Well there's also the rumors of the HD-x360 if that pans out, there's surely going to be an uproar :D

I doubt that happens. I personally think Microsoft is just trying to kamikaze Blu-Ray. If Sony were to control HD-DVD and Toshiba had Blu-Ray, it'd be the same thing.

Wow, if they keep this up, and actually translate all these nice looking RPGs, I'll end up having to buy a 360 one day in the distant future.

Has Idea Factory made anything noteworthy?

IF games range from awful to pretty solid. Most of their stuff stays Japan only though because A) most of them are Franchise games, B) They're REALLY anime influenced, C) usually have gameplay problems.

That is the problem! Alot of good stuff stays in japan! Hopefully another publisher brings it to the US. I know I sound like a broken record saying that all the time but I firmly believe more small US publishers should be doing translations of japanese RPG games.

Looks good but I wonder why are all jrpgs named like they just put a bunch of those magnetic words together. Spectral Force? Innocent Rage?

Cool, how were the other Spectral games?

The SF titles on a scale of 1-10 were about 3/10 or so I heard. Their spinoff Spectral Souls was the actually decent (with horrible graphics and broken gameplay) one.

Ah. So expectations aren't high I guess. Still it must be nice for MS to have a game from a series so established, its certainly had a lot of games (games by gamestats, they don't have any reviews for them though):

Code:
Nintendo DS
Spectral Force

PlayStation
Spectral Force 2

PlayStation2
Shinseiki Genso: Spectral Souls
Shinseiki Genso: Spectral Souls II
Spectral Force Chronicle
Spectral Force: Radical Elements

PlayStation Portable
Spectral Souls

Xbox 360
Spectral Diario
Spectral Force 3

At least a show of respect if nothing else :)

There's also the Spectral vs. Generation arcade game from Cave/IGS. It's a new 2D fighter using the casts from Idea Factory's Spectral Souls and Generation of Chaos games. It's also getting a PS2 port evidently. :)
