Seriously, how stupid can you be - of course he murdered plenty of "his own people" with gas, so even that incredibly dumb argument doesn't work. Not even getting into the point that it shouldn't matter where the victims were from.
 
So the point he is trying to make is that Hitler didn't drop gas on his citizens in towns? That's the distinction???? What a moron.

One reported incident indicates the German army eventually used poison gas on survivors of the Battle of Kerch on the Eastern Crimean peninsula. After the battle in mid-May 1942, roughly 3000 soldiers and civilians not evacuated by sea were besieged in a series of caves and tunnels in the nearby Adzhimuskai quarry. After holding out for approximately three months, "poison gas was released into the tunnels, killing all but a few score of the Soviet defenders."[34]

If Spicer wanted to save his ass, he should have said against the Soviets. IIRC Hitler was involved in a chemical attack in WW1, so he understood the effects of it. Of course he did gas his own people..so still a fuck up Spicer..smh.

Yeah, a part of the refusal to use chem weapons in combat was that both sides had massive stockpiles but applied an MAD mentality to it, don't use it until the other guy does. OTOH ISIS has already used chem weapons so the same WW2 logic would allow Assad to use them too.

Fortunately the Nazis didn't know that the allied chem weapons weren't as advanced as theirs.
 
I'm beginning to think that this Trump administration isn't as amazing as it originally seemed.
 
I'm impressed with how quickly he was able to dig himself even deeper.

I think part of the issue with Spicer is that he's very good at babbling and redirecting, but he's not actually intelligent. He's basically a used cars salesman (much like Trump) who's able to just pile so much bullshit on you have trouble pinning him down. Unlike a salesman though he's on record and is constantly up there, so his bullshit gets exposed for all to see.
