I feel like I can talk with some impartiallity as I wasn't planning to buy the game. Not yet at least as I'm pretty burnt out on open world and superhero game.

But that looks fantastic. Graphically the best game I've seen this gen, and gameplay wise (as much as you can tell from trailers), it looks a leagues better than want went before.

"Doubting insomniac" was referring to the graphics I believe. People thought it wouldn't be much of an improvement from the previous games.

The visuals have seen an uplift all around (typical for Insomniac). Makes all the pre-release nonsense even funnier.

I'm curious, is there some in-game universe reason regular street thugs aren't afraid to take on Spider-Man in a brawl? Surely Spider-Man's strength, speed and agility must be well known by now or is this just some gamey thing you'll just have to accept?

You must imagine it like that.You know you don't have any chance in hand combat against an bear facts! But when you would meet with bear in forest and he attacks you even you don't have any chance and you will die you will fight or try to fight you will punch kick scratch screen anything.Same in the game world they try to fight Spider-Man hope somehow to beat him but they can't they try.

Marvels spider-man 2 graphics disappointed

I really in shock from yesterday sony showcase it was really poring and the worst part of it , is the shitty spiderman 2 graphics , really after 2 or more years of hype and we get this shit , and also i don't know how that all of sony first party studios know nothing about ray tracing global...

You can see it in the entire trailer.. shadow detail is lost from most of the scenes… I don't know if it is deliberate to make the image pop more or an error because is the first time I see it in spider man 2 footage..
