Spider-Man 3 Hits DVD October 30!
Source: Sony Pictures Home Entertainment August 3, 2007

Spider-Man 3 becomes the home entertainment event of the year when Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE) releases the international blockbuster on DVD October 30, in time for the holiday gift-giving season. Spider-Man 3 will be available in several versions for fans to collect including a single-disc release, a two-disc Special Edition release, PSP, and a three-pack DVD release which will include Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 on DVD with collectible O-Ring packaging. Also available is the "Spider-Man High Definition Trilogy," a three-pack release of all three films on Blu-ray High-Def allowing fans an exclusive opportunity to collect both Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 in high definition, along with "Spider-Man 2.1" and Spider-Man 3. Spider-Man 3 will also be available as a stand-alone two-disc release on Blu-ray High-Def.

The two-disc Spider-Man 3 Blu-ray High-Def and two-disc Special Edition DVD offer fans more than six hours of all-new bonus materials, including a trio of featurettes spotlighting the cinematic creation of the web crawler's greatest nemeses. Grains of Sand -- Building Sandman details the challenges Sony Pictures Imageworks faced in creating the iconic villain; Re-Imagining the Goblin explores the changes in the New Goblin character from page to screen; and Covered in Black -- Creating Venom follows the cinematic creation of Spider-Man's archrival.

The two-disc's added value also has a trio of features on the creation of the spectacular stunts in the movie: Hanging On ... Gwen Stacy & the Collapsing Floor, where stunt coordinator Scott Rogers explores the logistics of the dangerous stunt performed by Bryce Dallas Howard; Fighting, Flying & Driving -- The Stunts, wherein Stunt Coordinator/2nd Unit Director Dan Bradley and Stunt Coordinator Scott Rogers provide a behind-the-scenes peek at the various "gags" in the film; and Wall of Water where the viewer is taken into the creation of one of the biggest stunts in the film. In addition, the discs offer bloopers, a Snow Patrol music video, and two audio commentary tracks with cast and filmmakers.

Any idea what the cost will be of the Blu-Ray trilogy pack? I'd be interested in it, but not if it's $90.

will you be able to buy Spider Man and Spiderman 2 standalone versions on Blue-Ray? without having to buy the pack

I don't want to come into this thread whinning, but Spiderman 3 was total horseshit (This is someone that vaguely liked first two-although they got worse with repeat watches).

it must be rough going through life without having any taste

Didn't they already confirm a Director's Cut is on the way?

LOL.

I would love to see directors cut where they hacked it down and removed a lot of the Bs. There hasn't been such a bloated hollywood blockbuster mess since the Matrix sequels.

MSRP is $99.98 :(

Of course it'll be cheaper in retail, but still probably more than you'd like. I think I'll be sticking with my DVDs.

Are you some kind of ****ing idiot? Let me tell you about taste and Summer blockbusters made to maximize profts: They don't go together.

They didn't confirm an extended cut yet, but with the amount of *known* deleted material, it's a pretty safe bet that there will be a 3.1 or something down the line.

Only scene that needs to go is that STUPID STUPID STUPID scene with Peter Parker "pointing" and "winking" at women and other things. Good lord.

I'm not sure God's director's cut could fix that steaming piece of shit. But I'd be interested in seeing the attempt.

I'll wait for the directors cut. I love this movie, with all it's faults and everything, but i want the definitive version because it seems like a lot of shit was cut out. A lot.

So my question would be, does the trilogy pack on bluray contain the same features for spiderman 3 as the 2 disc edition does? or is it simply 4 blurays 1 for each movie ? I allready own spidey 1,2 and 2.1 on dvd but I'd happily sell them off for next to nothing for the bluray version.

Why is there a tread on this?
Spiderman 3 was the worst movie ever made

YOU'RE SO WRONG!!! The scene where spiderman dances on the sealing in the jazz bar followed by him slapping Mary Jane in the face was awesome. BEST SPIDERMAN EVA!

You kidding? That was one of the few GOOD parts about the movie :lol

Yeah, if anything they should just completely rework the Harry plot. NEW SHOOTS NOW, RAIMI.

You can't possibly be serious? How anyone can defend the abomination that is Spiderman 3 is beyond me.

The film can only be viewed as an off kilter comedy because it fails at pretty much everything else.

You know a movie's good when it has an accompanying Snow Patrol music video... :lol
