Here's the REAL megaton

I don't particularly like the logo, but that's some masterful trolling from Feige on the title.

EDIT: wait, animated Spidey by Lord & Miller??? :O
Holy fuck!!!

Good answer. I found "The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D" but a) I'm not sure that counts and b) that feels like cheating.
I have the GBA game based on that movie. It came with a pair of 3D glasses and the 3D effect was pretty horrible as you might imagine.

I sincerely doubt they will change the logo outside of small brush-ups.

It is pretty obvious they are going for a more colorful and simpler design. Every single Spider-Man movie up until now has featured a bland as fuck silver logo that just screams 90s edge.

RIP IN PIECES PS3/SPIDEY FONT

That is an... odd choice of logo. Not sure why they wouldn't just lift the one from the comics, since they're clearly going for that anyway.

Well... It certainly separates it from previous outings. Also separates it from a typical MCU logo/movie title, which is good in my book. More variety the better.

Good to see the marvel logo there.

Does this tell us anything about the story? Is Homecoming an arc from comics or other Spidey lore?

Maybe.

“Homecoming” is the title of The Amazing Spider-Man issue #252 that was written by Tom DeFalco and illustrated by Ron Frenz. The storyline revolves around Peter Parker’s Spidey returning to his stomping grounds in New York City, after having gained his Venom alien symbiote costume following the 1984 Secret Wars comic book event. It is fair to assume that the 2017 Spider-Man solo movie will not feature Peter wearing his Venom costume (especially given that Sony is now moving ahead with a solo Venom movie reported to be separate from the MCU), but the general premise of “Homecoming” could be carried over into Watts’ film; that is, Peter will get a new costume and return to fighting crime in New York, after the conclusion of the MCU’s Civil War (read: the MCU equivalent of a comic book “event”).

The “Homecoming” storyline also features special appearances by such Avengers as Captain America and Iron Man (played by Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. in the MCU), the latter of whom looks to be a mentor to Holland’s Peter Parker in the MCU – and thus, potentially the one who provides Spidey with an upgraded costume somewhere along the way in Civil War (maybe even the one shown in the film’s second trailer). There are other major superheroes who make an appearance in “Homecoming” – including such established MCU players as Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and The Wasp (Evagenline Lilly) – but it’s likewise safe to assume that if any of them do show up in the 2017 Spider-Man film, it will be as a cameo and nothing more.

Last, but not least, both Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard and Felicia Hardy show up in the “Homecoming” comic book story. Marvel President of Production Kevin Feige has indicated before that the 2017 Spider-Man film will feature a super-villain not seen in any previous Spider-Man live-action movie, so that would disclude Dr. Connors’ transformed alter ego from showing up.
Some of the guest cameos will likely show up, with the Sony/Marvel deal they currently have.

Other parts of the story from the "Homecoming" comic? Who knows.

Retro, I like it. All of yall complaining about a reboot, search my post history.

For the guy who said Miles, he is a wet blanket compared to Peter. To make him more more interesting they would have to make him Pete...so they might as well use Peter.

Does no one understand MARVEL has their boy back? Or are they just uneducated?

Paging Slayven.

I don't care for the logo and straight up don't care for that name.

On the other hand that animated spider-man is very exciting.

keep cap and hawkeye away from this. movie doesn't need a million mcu cameos.

love the idea of stark being parker's mentor though. that's gonna be tight. and wasp might be cool but i don't really see where she fits here.

more hyped for that animated one though. imagine if they took inspiration from raimi/spectacular spiderman and did their own thing too. christ, would be too good. bet they could get JK Simmons back for voice too.

Not feeling that logo, and don't really care for the animated movie.

Would much rather see them do a street-level Spidey netflix show with DD and company, where he belongs, as much as I understand that'll never happen.
