Retro, I like it. All of yall complaining about a reboot, search my post history.

For the guy who said Miles, he is a wet blanket compared to Peter. To make him more more interesting they would have to make him Pete...so they might as well use Peter.

Does no one understand MARVEL has their boy back? Or are they just uneducated?

Paging Slayven.

When I see for myself that Marvel have actually gotten the character right in Civil War, then I'll start getting excited for this movie. It's not like they haven't been repeatedly fucking him up completely in the comics for the last two decades.

Isn't the animated one connected with the MCU in some way as well?

CinemaCon
No Marvel logo, so likely not.
Unless they pull out a Spider-verse or some shit.

I know that a lot of people on here have a mad hate boner for Dan Slott but the recent Spidey stuff starting from Superior or so has been really fucking good.

The current run is also amazing and is a great evolution of the character in my opinion.

The title is honestly a bit too indulgent to me, it's almost like Chewie we're home but as a subtitle. I'm sure it'll have story relevance but if it's actually partially because it's back at Marvel (sorta) then it's just being way too cutesy.

The problem visually with the design is that there's no form to it at all between the main and subtitle. Completely different design philosophies that clash.

I actually like the logo. And the Marvel logo being right there does help the Average Joe realize that this is a Marvel Studios production.

Marvel is involved, suddenly we get a Spiderman logo that is closer to the stuff I remember from the cartoons.

Why did all these non-marvel sanctioned directors use grey for spiderman logos.

I've started reading the latest run of Amazing and I actually like it. I'm talking about the history of the numerous long stretches of mishandling the character dating back to before the clone saga.

They get him right, but they get him wrong just as often. I can't rejoice just because Marvel have creative control, I need to see for myself that they've done a good job first.

I agree there and even though he has been my favorite comic character every since I was old enough to buy comics I stopped reading for long periods of time (such as the Brand New Day shitfest).

That said, I do think they have done a good job in the last few years at least which is a good sign.

Can't think of any dumber titles we've seen for a superhero movie off the top of my head. Anyone?

Having no familiarity with the characters, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer struck me as really, really dumb when I first heard it. Now knowing that "Silver Surfer" is a name of a superhero... it's still kinda dumb.

If the Doc Strange logo is any indication, you probably will see a style change as Rogue One looms. That's when I guess the first trailer for the film will be out, too.

This should have been the logo. Smh

Please never go into graphic design or anything similar.

Even though I still love that cartoon, that logo is absolutely horrendous. It does absolutely nothing to evoke what is key to Spider-Man's character and would fit better with Spawn or something.
Hell, even Spawn's logo is less edgy than that one. lol
