Spider-Man model appears to tease new PlayStation game in now-deleted post

In an Instagram post published on Monday, Ben Jordan posted an image of himself gearing up for a performance session. The post was accompanied by the message, 'IYKYK (if you know, you know)' and a spider emoji.

The post was soon deleted, but not before it was archived on Reddit. Jordan typically works as a model, and his only acting credits so far are for PlayStation's Marvel Spider-Man games.

It's been speculated that the capture could be for Insomniac's upcoming Wolverine game, but with the title due to release this September, that seems unlikely.

The games industry is so weird with its super secrecy. It seems to repeatedly catch actors etc off guard. Films are often announced before they've even been greenlit…never mind super secret NDA's until months away from release.

I want Sony to go through this "7 games deal" with Marvel soon and be done with it.
I didn't know there was a deal like that. Also ,,, I mean what stops them from striking another deal if that's the case anyway ?

Also. We are so far off from these 7 games lol. 2 spider man games ( miles is probably an extension not sure if it counts ... Wolverine this year thats 3 ? Maybe 4 if you want to count miles..

We still at least 3 games far including the unreleased Wolverine game ( unless I missed something (

At this rate, I don't see this deal is over before the end of PS6...

Still haven't played 2. Will do someday but third one? No thanks.

I haven't even finished the first game, because it's very repetitive. And have no plan to play the second.
The third one would need to change a lot of things to improve it to the point, that I would even consider buying it.

Much like Ragnarok, SM2 made me tap out of another one unless significant changes happen to the structure of the game. Hell even then it's probably a no since it's also a sick of spider-man as a character. New York is played out. Web swinging lost it's luster a long time ago though gliding/flying was really fun.

I'm playing through the second one right now and it's such a mediocre game, and graphically unimpressive considering it's not cross gen. Textures are flat as hell. Maybe it's because I'm coming off of a replay of The Witcher 3 so by comparison it's suffering extra, but I don't think so, it's just so bland in every sense of the word. I don't know what it is with modern games and visuals but even like the Call of Duty games, the new ones look so bland, boot up MW2 2009 and it looks so much better than MWII from a few years ago.

I used to love Sony open world games, now I think they're worse than Ubisoft games, they all have the same formula and I have no idea why they get a pass and Ubisoft constantly gets shit on.

The third game really needs to step it up but I have a feeling it's going to feel more like a standalone DLC than anything.

Gimme Venom and GTFO, I don't care about any superhero shit anymore, genre is completely ruined and saturated to hell thanks to Disney's MSHEU woke agenda and WB ineptitude

Looking forward to see what kind of woke nonsense they will put into the game. I played and enjoyed the first Spiderman game but I have zero intentions to play more Spiderman games.

I saw it somewhere, not sure where really.. it has to have been pulled from Sony's financials or one of their investors call not sure really.

Whats worse (or best) is this deal has to be done in 10 years or something.

Don't quote me on this figures, Im pulling them from memory.

All these franchises they could revive, or (assuming this is Inwokeniac) a new Ratchet and Clank, but instead possibly another superhero game. I'm sure they sell better based on recognizability of the character, but they're all the same, and boring as fuck 🤷‍♀️
we can say the same thing about Sucker Punch and them we're overlying on tsushima

As long as it's completely different from the second one, that's perfect.

- Far fewer characters

- Only Spider-Man as a playable character.

- More of the classic Spider-Man we've always known = a normal kid, with lots of everyday problems, super strength, super agility, a spider-sense, and two web-shooters. He doesn't fly, he doesn't have cybernetic spider legs, he doesn't launch drones, etc., etc.

- With a fun and emotional story like the first one, that's good enough for me.

In short: Back to basics

absolutely during the Xbox one generation it was Microsoft you had no first party games
and now during the PS5 generation its Sony has no first party games

Completely avoidable too.....they spent so many years wasting time on GAAS and live service garbage. They still have time since IMO, the liklihood of many buying a mid gen PS5 Pro at $900 is low with all this talk about PS6 possibly coming late next year, early 28.

Haven't played Ragnarok, but SM2 feels like they had about 10 hours of interesting gameplay that they stapled on to 25 hours of dull story telling. I suffered through to completion, but can't say how much "fun" I had on the back half of the game. Was planning on getting to the newer GOW games at some point, but if it's similar to the SM games, count me out.

Why so that they can't make even more money? Wolverine is what....game 4? We have Spidey 3, Venom, and Xmen still to go. If they are successful, it's hard to see why they would stop at the Xmen game in 2035.

There's been only 2 Ghost games :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy:

WTH are you talking about?

It's not about money, its simply that Marvel games are not my type and I would rather Sony output focus on original IPs rather than the entire pipeline being stagnated with Marvel stuff.

Games are not movies, they take years to develop and this agreement has surely benefited both financially but imo impacted Sony IP originality.

No to the uglified Mary jane and no to pride agenda and woke crap push into the next game please.

Wolverine will tell me all I want to know about sony intentions with their own studios games going forward. They had plenty of feedback and time since SM2 to get ridden of the woke bullshit or double down.

I think the 2018 GoW is worth a look at least. The problem for me is that any flaws that it had were only made worse in the sequel.

I think their GAAS push did this more than the Marvel games. It's not like games like Saros and Intergalactic aren't being made. But the high cost of making games also makes companies slow to new IPs. I'd like Sony to take their GAAS focus and turn it to making some more smaller games that are new IPs.

Supposedly, they are doing that now. And we'll see the fruits of that labor when the PS6 comes out.

I loved the first Spider-Man game but 2 was such a let down for me, it was just so.....bland?
I can't really describe it but it was just so flat and uninteresting.

I definitely would not buy a third day one.
