It says why in the video title. It's 4k performance mode. It's stripped down. Enhanced mode looks to have the reflections and other improvements.

If I was to guess, I think the videos are stripped-down performance mode, and the stills are enhanced mode. We see ray-tracing in the stills, but the videos don't show any.

the reflections are sharper more contrastred than the actual game area? or maybe there is a DOF effect in the game not in the reflections?

I believe the reflections are lower resolution (1080p vs 4k game)

I did an unscientific side by side between PS5 and PS4 Pro, and it looks better but not "Developers have spent months completely redoing this game from the ground up and deserve to be paid for it" better.

Best of luck to the people who haven't played this yet. Its an incredible game and you're in for a treat. I'm waiting for its inevitable appearance on Plus or Now.

It's kind of hard not to view the PS4 version, far worse visuals and all, as the definitive version, as you get to actually have a hero, and not Tom Holland up from his afternoon nap for some chocolate milk.

I really enjoyed the story of the first one, and I just can't imagine playing it, or taking it seriously, with this guy.

yeah but its not just that. the models are clearly lower detailed, not as many leaves, and no post proccess. This isnt a jab as just being there is amazing i just really like the technical aspect. they seem to be rendering the lowest LOD model levels which is something I have never thought about being an option.

They're changing the face model to a new one for better marketability with Tom Holland and passing the costs on to the players pretending this is a remaster when it's really just a slightly updated game. Especially when that work is already done for MM. Sony's playing its players for suckers! How many are just gonna take it?

Not too keen on the new face, not a Tom Holland fan and I don't actually see the "better fit" because it looks odd...
But I definitely see the difference which is funny because I thought MM didn't look that different.

Mile Morales looks incredible for a Cross gen in some moments.

The whole animations and physics animations, the combat, the camera move and angles, all of these combine make MM so much better and more movie like compared to ps4 SpiderMan.

Don't get me wrong, I love Spiderman in fact I have the platinum from this game but this is not good news
First, the new face looks like Tom Holland, I'm ok with this, not a fan but ok.........but the gameplay, this update should be free right?
I mean, I'm not going to buy the game again just for a new peter parker and new textures that should come for free.....as much of a Spiderman I am.
