Spike Chunsoft teasing Danganronpa on PC?

On the one hand, finally a lot more people are going to enjoy Danganronpa.
On the other hand, this is a huge blow in terms of trying to sell the Vita to other people.

But I'm definitely more interested in seeing the Fanbase grow!

At this point, I don't feel that the Vita isn't worth trying to sell people on. A year ago, I might have. Now? Naw. Way more important to keep the franchise alive.

So maybe wait for a sale if it comes up? Thanks guys!

I enjoyed the game, but it is weaker than the first two games. I'd say it's worth a playthrough if you're a big fan of the series and want more while waiting for the anime or next game. Since you're fine waiting and it had a great discount a while back, I'd probably wait for the next sale.

I've already beat 1 and 2 on Vita...but I may get them again. One thing I wonder about is resolution. Most of the stuff in these games are images, and the polygonal stuff was designed for a PSP. Don't know how well it'd work in higher pc resolutions.

Wasn't there a time when Xseed made a "steam" tease or something on twitter and that turned out to be something totally different?

I believe this though.

Xseed's twitter account is half filled with employees posting picture of their cats, I think it's safe to assume this is different. Excite?!

I probably won't double dip on these until they're really cheap, but I've always said these games are basically Japanese point-and-click adventures and as such they're a good fit for the PC. Fans of LucasArts and Sierra and Telltale and whatnot who don't own a Vita can now give them a try.

Man I just realized how much less awful some of the dumb trial games would be with a mouse and now I'm upset I had to play with such terrible controls.

Can always go with the "you can play your PS4 games while you poop".

I love my Vita but the few games it had are going to ps4 or pc now :(
My first Vita broke and I actually got a second one because I need to play Persona 5 on the toilet and in bed. Extremely valuable feature.

I always get a little confused about PC ports without console versions too.

Ah well, you're in for a ride PC gamers. I still prefer my vns on vita and/or 3ds and/or'handheld device'

Hmm, should I buy the first on Vita for $20 now or wait for PC?

There's little chance of the game being much lower than that for at least several months on Steam (assuming $20 will be the starting point for them and not higher). It just depends on if you value portability over slightly better graphical options, which even being in 1080p on PC, these games aren't going to be lookers.

If you like to travel a lot and need a great visual novel/adventure game, get Danganronpa. Other than that, you should wait for the PC release. However, $30 (w/ PS Plus) for DR1 and 2 is a great deal.

I'm on board, but holy crap, Spike Chunsoft supporting the Western PC market is a potentially huge deal. I mean, they're the big dogs in the VN space, they've got cool stuff well beyond the Zero Escape series to put out there.

I don't know why people doubted the leak.

Everybody's gone to the rapture
Criminal Girls
Steins;Gate
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD
Earth Defense Force 4.1
Space Pirates VR
Phantom Brave
Ray Gigant
Code of Princess (this one might not happen anymore since the studio recently closed down)
Xblaze: Code Embryo
Half-Life 3
Also, Stranger of Sword City.

RexNovis must be on suicide watch. :p

Y'all do realize there have been "steam database" leaks before that amounted to absolutely nothing right? Otherwise we would've seen Halo 3 release in PC ages ago.
The "leak" was basically 50/50 for all titles. Out of the ones that got the most attention the rate was higher but still closer to 75%. The existence of a title in steam database is not proof that it will release on the service. That's a fact. Knowing that it seems crazy to me that people would take another database leak as proof of anything. You might as well flip a coin.
Actually the one I was referring to was 92 games of which 63 have released over a year later. That's about 70% (which I updated my oust to reflect). Previous leaks have included 100s of titles. It should never been seen as incontrovertible evidence of a title coming to steam.

When even the people data mining the info are telling you to take it with copious grains of salt then you should probably listen.
