SpikeTV brought a giraffe to [The Guy's Chocie Awards]

I'm glad that Geoff has provided us with another picture that compromises his character, if there's anything left worth compromising, that is.

It's a Giraffe, people. They're not pulling fish out of water. These wild animals are used to living in places where they could be ripped to shreds at any moment. I think they'll survive E3. At least they have a better chance than most gaffers do. :P

Disgusting?

Dude is a douche. Giraffes are gorgeous creatures.
Not just gorgeous, they are majestic.

So...retail employees who actually talk to consumers and actually talk people into buying video games a lot have no business being at E3, but a giraffe does?

Maybe I'm dense but I don't see this as disgusting or as cruel as everyone is making it out to be. Seems like an odd thing to do if there is no reason for it but marketing is marketing. As long as they keep the giraffe in a closed off area, it is no different from a zoo. If they are smart about it, the giraffe won't hurt the people or vice-versa.

If real, fucking dickheads.

Seems pointless and cruel. To be around all the loud noise just for the sake of amusement of few. A robotic Giraffe would have been cooler and more apt given the interwoven relationship between tech and gaming.

Maybe they let visitors only into the X1 and PS4 demo zones if you feed it money. A symbol of the industry wich can't get its gorge full.

THAT IS NOT COOL!!!

I'm in no way a PETA sympathizer, but is it really necessary to use a giraffe as live background in a closed studio, maybe even worse on a loud ass E3 show floor?

That seems pretty cruel to me.

Don't ever visit a circus then

This reminds me of this worldstarhiphop video where a rapper had a tiger brought to a dance club for his birthday.

Now that was especially imbecilic.. bringing a tiger into a club in a tiny cage with blaring music all around it and stupid drunk people.

I guess some people feel that with enough money they should be able to get anything done? I'm especially curious what the owners of the tiger are thinking.

I'm not saying this giraffe at E3 is bad like that, I'm not an expert of giraffes and maybe they took careful consideration of if the giraffe can handle it... maybe it's quiet enough in the area where the giraffe is.

This is just stupid. Animals in the zoo are even a bit cruel, but at least they are not in this noisy, smelling mess of a convention with all those flickering lights.

Team CGI Giraffe.

No way they would be this fucking stupid. Causing unnecessary stress or suffering to an animal is cruelty. Standing around at a games event qualifies as unnecessary for sure.

Yeah, I'm going to agree with this. It's probably a trained giraffe or whatever.

Still, this is awfully dumb, especially if it doesn't actually relate to a reveal.

I guess I dont get why everyone is all upset over this. It probably wont be worse than living at a zoo for this guy and I seriously doubt they are going to leave him on the show floor. And you guys seriously think they brought this guy with them and didnt break food for him? I bet they brought a whole zoo staff for this guy just make sure he is comfortable as possible. So yeah is it weird? Yes, but I dont see how this is horrificly cruel like you guys are saying.
