Splatoon 2 Testfire Thread: This is a port...able game now

I played just fine with split joycons, just had to alter the gyro sensitivity to get used to them.

The Testfire is a servers stress test. This is exactly the problem they're trying to look for.

I guess, but it's much worse than the original testfire two years ago. I didn't have near as many drop outs.

My experience so far can be summed up as such

Mine was like that so I reset the switch and straight in.

"Unable to connect to the other user's console"

Goddammit. This happens with Fast RMX as well so it's a system issue instead of a game one. Any potential fixes?

EDIT: To clarify, this is blocking me from even getting into a game.

Played 5 matches.
Portable Mode (1 match): It's alright, still trying the proper way to hold a switch. Plus it is a bit a annoying that the motion controls are only up and down. Meaning you have move your entire switch up and down while simultaneous moving the right stick left and right.

Pro Controller (2 matches): Probably the best one. I'm more accurate with this one. Once again I'm trying to get the hand of the motions.

JoyCons (2 matches): Pretty good. Motions feel best here. But I often forget to use the right stick because I'm thinking that I'm holding Wiimote XD

Not bad so far. Always ended up first on my team, mostly because the other team had a pair of rollers. Loss 4 Won 1. Game looks exactly the same as the Wii U version. The music/songs are pretty good. But man screw these rollers XD

Oh yeah turning off the Switch and turning it on again fixed internet issues I had.

Awww first loss. I actually really like the losing theme though, haha. Actually kind of prefer it over winning. Not that I want to see the Lose screen more than Win, mind you. :p

I lost a bunch of games back to back, but finally found my groove when I disabled motion controls. For some reason motion felt smoother, but just didn't work for me in handheld mode. Will have to try both options out with my Pro Controller tonight at the 11PM EST session.

In the meantime, this game is as fun as ever! Silky smooth for me while in a game, only had a few disconnects when selecting a weapon. Really surprised at how well it all works! Can we just have the full game now?

I seem to remember that the first test session slot was such a disaster with bad connections that they extended it for an extra hour so people could actually get to play.

If you rotate the joysticks on the loading and match finding screens, it alters the pitch and tone of the music.

Yeah I'm loving this. Also pretty into the game in general to be honest. Skipped the game on the Wii U, but just playing this for 45 minutes now I'm pretty sure I'll be needing this in my life when it comes out. Also gyro controls 4 lyfe.

Tried like 6 matches. Liked it, had fun.
Annoyingly though for me... Why do they disable the right stick when motions controls are on? I would like to tweak my aim/camera with both motion/joy stick and I don't want motion fully off either as I feel I play way better with it on.
