Splatoon 2 Testfire Thread: This is a port...able game now

Had a ok time, think I'll grab it cheap.

My 4 year old girl might want it sooner tho

I thoroughly enjoyed that! After the first few 20 minutes, everything ran rather smoothly. Getting used to opening the map with X is gonna take a bit of getting used to, but I don't think it's as egregious as people have been making it out to be.

Dual Splatlies are best waifu.

The right stuck was not responding in the first games I played with motion controls despite being on default sensitivity. I disabled motion controls since they seemed mutually exclusive but after reenabling motion controls the right stick worked. Maybe there is a bug since a few people have observed the right stick not aiming.

Roller ult kept making me feel like Lucio. Only instead of shields, it rained ink and death. Or a Titan in Destiny. Loved it!

i waas at work so table top mode with joy con grip and motion controls on. had a blast. lost most, but it was nice to finish the last match with a win.

Do the majority of people play with motion controls off? Or is it worth keeping it on? Is it better for aiming after some practice? I want to get better. I feel I suck. Lol.
Majority actual display with motion controls on, ninten do even researched into it and found this out, that's why they made sure to to say every control method has gyro controls

The dualies have such awful aim if you aren't rolling around and you can't jump while shooting, but you can open the map and close it all you want (I keep pushing X to jump). That fire hose special on the charger feels pretty useless too, unless your opponent just sits there for you. Takes a bajillion hits from the things to splat someone.

I got to be invincible one match. I thought there was just one really laggy roller, but nope, no one on the other team could kill me. I had three of them shooting me while I just stood there and watched.

I got a few games in. Only had one connection problem. I had to get used to the motion/gyro controls for a match, but I got used to it quickly. It's definitely Splatoon alright. I got to try the Splat Dualies and I liked them.

I don't like the game at all so far, but I'll keep playing. I'm hoping it'll click later, I was really looking forward to it.

Well they were right on schedule lol

Didn't played the first game as I never had a Wii U. Frustrating at first, not because I felt like I was getting rekt but rather I felt like I was doing decent until the map at the end reveals how badly we sucked.

Finally won a couple matches though and got some good KD ratio action (6/1 on our first win). Are the dualies the only new weapon in the beta compared to the first game? That long distance harpoon-like gun is a weird one

2 dropped connections, but other than that it was smooth sailing. Got creamed by Japanese players though.

Won all but 2 of my matches. Aside from a couple times where I sat in the lobby a few minutes too long I had no issues whatsoever. Wifi is perfectly good still. Generally dominated matches, and the dualies dodge is great in a pinch. Make sure not to fly off the stage when using the jetpack though. Next Testfire can't come soon enough.

And thats one testfire down! =D

Game looks and plays great and it wonderful to see all the new players figuring stuff out!

I had a single disconnect but the rest was solid even on 1 bar of wifi.
