Splatoon, Rainbow 6 Siege or Overwatch

It takes a while to get into, I played the Alpha and open Beta and enjoyed it but wasnt enough for me to buy it day 1, but once I got it later, and got into the game it became one of my fav online games of all time

Yeah that's basically my story too. Played the beta on a whim and really, really enjoyed myself but it fell of my radar until a week or so after release and I saw it for cheap and was like oh shit in my veins pls

Siege is that good? wow

Yes. It's well made, good character designs/abilities, generally a really good balance, and also fills a unique place in the crowded world of multiplayer shooters.

Overwatch is better than both of those shooters and will be played for far longer.

You're probably not wrong about length, but R6: Siege's player base has increased since launch, so that's nothing to overlook either.

Splatoon is my favourite, i think You should buy it.

OverWatch is cool too.

Have't played Siege yet... And maybe i really should.

So i Say Splatoon. :P

Wow that's hard. I'd say:
1. Siege
2. Splatoon
3. Overwatch
That's coming from someone who has spent dozens of hours (minimum) with all three, and I gave Overwatch a near-perfect score in my review. I just think Siege and Splatoon are that amazing.

Splatoon is great but its not getting any more content and unless you're in Japan people aren't really playing it anymore. So id reccomend overwatch

Siege gives you those heart pounding matches at times especially when you have clutch games.
This is a main reason why I love siege. I miss the counter strike days of no respawning and clutching games, and siege allows this. The only other shooter that I'm aware if that has that feeling is cod search and destroy. It also helps that siege is a really good game.

I find overwatch too repetitive, unless you're constantly changing characters. Still fun though.

Havnt played splatoon

Siege is just incredible, and the way they've handled it after launch has made it all the better. There is more opportunity for tense moments and you can actually make clutch scenarios work for you more often than in Overwatch. While I enjoy Overwatch, I don't think it compares to Siege.

I haven't played Splatoon, so I can't comment on that.

I can only say that Siege is the most intense and well thought out shooter Ive played ever.

Great operators/heroes, fantastic map design, and the best kind of multiplayer due to its mental one upmanship and outthinking your opponents

No, I find Overwatch to be the superior game, despite pouring a lot of time into Splatoon. There's something about Blizzard's level of polish that makes me wanting to pick up the game at random times and have fun at it, Nintendo has their own quality and charm, and Splatoon is arguably the more accessible of the 2, but some things (notably most of the soundtrack) I find really cringe worthy, and certain gameplay design choices they've made really raises eyebrows for me.

Not to say Overwatch does not have moments like that (like buffing Mei's ult, server ddos; loot boxes), but Splatoon with things like the reroll system, way damage drop off works, the removal of certain map;modes, really bad latency issues that makes Mario Kart Wii's netcode look like CS:GO and matchmaking are more apparent.

I see, thought by comparing the numbers you meant the opposite. Anyways I still need to play overwatch

Tried all but i feel Splatoon is the most fun. The ability to climb way, sneak up to your opponents by hiding in the ink you created, spraying those inks to clear a path for your teammate with the rainmaker and stuffs really adds a whole new dimension to the genre

I have all 3 and they are all great, however the online systems in splatoon got too annoying after a while and I quit playing it.

Siege is one of the best MP shooters I have ever played

Wow, eas Siege really that well received? I picked it up for $20, briefly played some of the training missing and unlocked a couple characters and played few MP patches, but it felt like I was playing SOCOM, not RB6? Are the match modes bare bones?

Splatoon. Never played Siege. I like that in Turf Wars, a team of of random Level 50 players that is somehow unfairly matched against a team of random Level 10-30's can still lose because all four team members would charge fast to the center and be so focused on getting kills that they've forgotten to ink the rest of their home turf. Plus accidentally swimming to your death into an opponent's Paint Roller is somehow adorable.

Truuuuuu.

So happy to see that Siege was played more on Xbox the past month than Halo and even Overwatch.

Real ones know.

Wow!! Really?

Siege has more players today than at launch. It's a fantastic game that just stumbled out of the gate and was pre-judged for not having single player.

It also unfairly ate a lot of shit for microtransactions, the very ones that all other shooters do worse. Siege's DLC model is great.

Of course, server problems, and bugs hurt too, but people were criticizing the game for being $60 MP, yet games like Overwatch and Titanfall got a pass :/

This thread intrigue me about siege. How active is the online population on PC/PS4?

Very active. PC recently got Battleye and got rid of a shit load of hackers.

PS4 community is also strong and active, as is Xbox. Siege has more players today than at launch, and the devs have promised more support past the initial 1 year post-launch. They really want to make Siege stick around.

Haven't played Siege but I've put an embarrassing amount of time into Overwatch.

Splatoon was nice but I got it at launch and the content trickle was just too little. Yes, even less of a trickle than Overwatch. The game just bounced off me about 20 hours or so in.

Can't believe they're still doing the 2-map rotation. It was easily one of the main reasons why I stopped playing. Such a boneheaded move.

Rainbow Six Siege is amazing. After Vegas 2 being fantastic I didn't think they'd come out with a game even better than that. Great characters, great gameplay, tense moments.

But if Halo 5 were in the list I'd put Siege and Halo together for first.

Yep. Come on Nintendo just up it to 3 maps - or swap more frequently

I've only played Splatoon out of the 3 so I won't comment on Overwatch and Rainbow 6 Siege. But everything I've seen says the praise for them is well deserved

I feel Splatoon, Rainbow 6 Siege and Overwatch are by far the best online multiplayer shooters this gen, I just want to see which one most people think is the best

all three.
R6 for tactic
Splatoon for being a kid
overwatch for winkyface.

no honestly, all three are must haves for me.

Titanfall most certainly did not get a pass.

Also, my vote for best MP game.

What the hell? So many Siege players coming out of the woodwork. I always see the Overwatch threads, but maybe we're too busy talking about the game to actually play it. :p

Overwatch is the most taken and invested I've been in an online shooter since UT2004. It's the most satisfying and sometimes simultaneously infuriating experience this year for me by far.

Huh, didn't know Siege was that good. I'll have to check it out.

Splatoon is refreshingly unique though and I'd probably recommend checking it out over any FPS. There's nothing quite like it.

Siege is a gigantic hit just a lot of people don't realize it.

It has more players now than at launch and 1.24 million daily players
