Splinter Cell: DA 360 Multiplayer Demo Today!

I don't like Splinter Cell games, but I loved this demo. The online is completely awesome with both merc and spy. I'll buy it at low price (70 € no way).
 
DAMN! No way. I already got the game paid off. Yesterday PSO(which that's it, I'm hooked) and now Splinter Cell? Damn, sometimes I wonder if I should even bother buying games anymore. XBLA rocks.

This is the weekend I promised to spend with my girlfriend in preperation for Double Agent's release this week. I made all these plans to go to movies, haunted houses, hiking, etc. with her so that I could totally neglect her later this week. Now PSU beta hits yesterday (which I somehow talked her into letting me play for 5 hours while she napped and read books) and then today its ****ing SPLINTER CELL? DAMMIT! I can't play it until like Sunday night now! NOOooooooo!!!!

Well, enjoy everyone. I told you all it would be awesome. Let the blood of the non-believers flow like a river!
 
I'm having a big problem with the demo, every time I load it up, I go to either Quick Match or Custom Match and 95% of the time, it says "searching for gaming session" then it goes "joining gaming session" and it stays on the joining gaming session screen and doesn't do anything, it stays like that always and it's pissing me off. I can't find a decent game because of this, is anybody else getting a problem like this? Is it just my end?

I've had this problem twice, but the other 3-4 times it was quite fast.

Yeah, me too. It was fine a few hours ago, but now it's not working. The co-op game seems to be fine, but now it's boring, since I've found places to hack from that the CPU is too dumb to find. Got over 2000 points in the last game.

Eh? Demos are considerd Xbox Live Arcade titles now? ;)

I'll download after breakfast. Nice to hear bots have been included.

Yep, and not only that, but you can play by yourself in co-op against the bots if you make a game from system link instead of Live.

Ignoring your crappy excuse for sarcasm, the demo has some issues with things like this...

I've have the same thing happen about 4 times as well, so it's definetely a demo thing...

Also, everytime I get grabbed by a Spy (three times in the two hours I've played so far, since I'm almost untouchable) the game freezes up... pretty annoying...

Other than that, the demo kicks so much ass, and I'm glad that they made the Mech so go now, since it's my favourite side to play with - I haven't even touched Spies yet...

How fast is your download speed? I got the demo in less than 30 minutes, and that was only because I was also downloading more stuff on my PC at the same time.

I'm sure the large number of people downloading the SCDA demo at the same time has nothing to do with it.
 
It shouldn't this much. When fileplanet is the only place to get much more popular demos and files just as big, and larger they don't slow down much at all.
 
AWESOME. Just played two matches with luva luva as Mercs. This is pretty much the first time I've ever played an SC game and holy shit that was fun. Graphics are gorgeous and rock solid. This is definitely a must buy game. And it's pretty easy to play with a friend on the demo.

Wow. That was just severely fun.

Yea, the demo is awesome. Its even better when you have great people to play with. I love the teamwork aspect. It was also fun that none of us really knew the controls so we had to learn on the fly, share the info and it only took one match to get our wits. We dominated the 2nd match. Lovely, I can't wait for Cog and everyone else to get on.

And yeah, team work and map knowledge is critical. Because that shit is difficult to navigate when you can't go all Spider-Man on shit.

Man, that was so fun, I can't even imagine how much fun it'll be with a bunch more maps to mess around in.

Finally got into a match after like 10 attempts and just getting "host has left the game." First time playing a SC game and I was playing as a merc. It was fun but hard finding those damn spys.

yeah I've got the same problem. definately bugs in the join session stuff. Once in a match the game is silky smooth but getting in the game can be difficult.

I'm impressed I didn't like any of the earlier splinter cells but the multiplayer in the demo is pretty fun. I got my ass handed to me as a spy but by my last life I finally figured it out and was having fun toying with the merc who had killed me previously.
 
i either get stuck in the "joining game please wait" screen or the host leaves just as i join the lobby :/
 
I just got through that joining gaming session crap and got to host a few games, was quite fun, I love being a spy :D its so cool sneaking around and stuff.

I've never played MP Splinter Cell before and I got into it after the first couple of games, not long at all.
 
Downloaded the thing in about half an hour, nice and fast. This is the first SC I've gotten into online.Only got to play one game, as a merc so far, and it was cool. Might have to pick this up now

Started my download about 5 minutes ago, already at 50%. Wonder why others have so much trouble.
 
Playing as a spy is really, really fun. Mercs not so much. The demo has frozen on me a few times, but it resumes after like 3 seconds of freezing (I guess it just might be lag). Other than that, I haven't had any of the problems others are reporting. If this game had online co-op it'd be an insta-purchase for me. This multi demo is pretty cool, though. Still not sure if I'm renting or buying. Looks like there's going to be a lot of Xbox Live Mulitiplayer gaming goodness this holiday.

If anyone wants to play my tag is Beamber. It doesn't seem like I've had much trouble hosting many games.

Yeah that's lag what you're experiencing, I experienced that too and I couldn't agree more. Being a spy is so much fun, being a Merc is not that fun at all:s
 
I think the market has been somewhat dried up when it comes to Splinter Cell because they've released so many in such a short span but if this one continues to get great reviews and the demos sparks interest in multi and/or single player lovers, then Splinter Cell will burn up the charts once again :)
