The data-mined details are promising. The timeline is believable if uncertain. The state of the project is genuinely worrying. All three things can be true at the same time, and for Splinter Cell specifically, they probably are.

Ubi already screwed up one remake and canceled it.

My question is, how do you even screw up a remake? The blueprint is there to copy and expand upon and you don't need that much extra or different.

I'm expecting another cancelation honestly. It's not going to sell like Hitman and not even Metal Gear Delta. But what alarms me more is how long its taking . Konami managed to have it get done and they've barely been involved in gaming for a decade. The only thing Ubi knows how to do anymore is make gay pride operators in Rainbow Six.

Sucks to here, but I wouldn't even care if the cartoon was Edgerunners quality...because after all this time still no new game. Just more ancillary crap that no one was really asking for.

At this point it's gonna be too late to get Michael Ironside voicing Sam Fisher again, but I hope something good comes out the other side. Otherwise back to Chaos Theory.
