Spore, Mirror's edge & Saboteur are drm free at gog.com

I know that the Saboteur is a cult classic and it can seem overrated by nostalgia but if you haven't tried it you really should

GOG has been releasing "new" games for a long time.

Mostly indie games. Not post-2005 games that were AAA at the time of their release. A few games from Ubisoft maybe, but that's pretty much it.

His point stands, though. Some publishers may be willing to put up new games on GOG without DRM, but EA never has.

Really, none of the big publishers have except the occasional Ubisoft game. At most, mid-level PC-specific publishers have put new games up on GOG.

Is the map fixed in this version of The Saboteur?

EDIT: Bought it. I'll answer that question for everyone else.

EDIT 2: Yes they did!

That's great news, that really bothered me the last time I tried playing my disk copy.

For those of you wondering what was wrong with the map, if you played at a resolution above 1280x720 all the icons on the map would be wildly out of place making it quite difficult to navigate the world.

Talking about that, Ubisoft really needs to release AC2 on GOG. Is the Ezio trilogy exclusive to consoles? Because if so, they don't have any excuse; DA:O is from 2009 and it is already DRM-Free.

Has revisionist history hit Spore yet? Has a cult formed around it, holding it as the greatest, and most misunderstood, game in history? I've been waiting for that since it came out.

I remember the Saboteur having a weird issue with x-input controllers (i think it was when you were in a car the accelerate button also rotated the camera). Is there a fan patch or workaround for that or is it still busted?

I used input mapper+ds4 and hadnt noticed any issues with the game's controls

Alright I just bought Saboteur. Oh, and now I'm gonna wait for EA games to be released on GOG because I already owned both of these on Origin.

Ubisoft needs to start releasing stuff on there again too because a lot of their old games are fucked with drm I don't feel like cracking.

Honestly, every game needs to be on GOG. You can have your Denuvo just put the game on GOG after it gets cracked.

damn it looks fantastic at 4k. a decent art style can really keep a game from ageing.

They will eventually put out new games because gog keeps growing. It will be harder to ignore in the future.

I kinda hope we get some kind of sliding timeline where AAA games eventually become "old" enough to be on GOG. Way back when Assassin's Creed 1 showed up on GOG, CDPROJEKT was talking about shifting towards getting more games that are like seven-to-nine years old instead of just games that are 15 and 20 years old.

Anyone else having the issue of running the Saboteur? I have it on Origin and the game crashes because it doesn't like any more threads over 8 - so I have to limit my threads from 12 to 8 via mscfg.
