Spotify app is live on Xbox One

I need an audio mixer for it. It seems to overpower all in-game audio.

You can change the volume in the quick menu if you press the Xbox button once, but I'm not sure if that also lowers the volume of the in-game sound.

Edit: Seems to work if you reduce the Spotify volume in the quick guide.

It's still around, called 'Groove' now. You get a music pass, store as before. Windows app is decent. Haven't used the service since the Zune days so can't comment on that.

Oh right! I remember "Groove" from when I started using Win10 and also from Forza Horizon 3's radio. The service can't be doing that well though if MS now suddenly thinks that competition is ok. It also kinda says that they knew all along that people wanted Spotify on Xbox. Probably part of their push to get good Xbox One X word of mouth from high satisfaction of the people jumping on board just now.

No music streaming service is anywhere close to Spotify.

This is like comparing netflix ans HBO Go
Ofc you need and want Netlfix on your device.

They don't think competition is now fine. They always wanted Spotify on Xbox One

So I've been trying it out today with my TV speakers and the suvwoofer connected to it. To me the sound didn't seem right, it was like someone altering the volume slider a lot during songs. The strange thing is this didn't happen during all songs. For example a lot of hiphop tracks like Snoop Dogg - Serial Killa is where the volume didn't sound right, it was going up and down. But then I picked a completely different genre, the song The end of the Innocence by Don Henley and it sounded fine to me.

Is something off with the sound via HDMI?

I thought it was supposed to automatically kill in-game music for whatever game you're playing? Doesn't with Skyrim or Diablo 3 at least.

So you get overlapping music.

Can manually turn the in-game music volume to 0 in the options menu? If so that should fix it.

What is going on, I really can't get this to work.

Spotify Connect works with my Laptop to the Phone (it's a NEW phone!) but it never sees the Xbox.

And yet, it can see the Xbox and connect to it via the Xbox app.

Grr, why couldn't this just have facebook login regardless?

Make sure you're connected to the same network.

This app is so buggy, or something.

It keeps cutting out at random times. I think there's some problem with the app losing connection with in the background.

does it have the same trash interface as the PS4 version? I've never seen anything so user un-friendly.

I have some pretty big playlists and not being able to see a long list is a pain. Just give me the windows app.

Can they update these apps on both PS4 and Xbox one. They both have the dumb thing where going back in a menu brings you all of the way back to the start of list. The Xbox one is even worse since you need to manually start app before your phone will see it as a device. Also you cannot later volume of the music using phone on Xbox one.

I also installed and logged on via Spotify connect recently. Work really smoothly. I am impressed. Spotify really is a fantastic service. I agree.
