I used to use Free when it was basically what I needed, until they changed that model for the worse. I subscribed, and haven't looked back, actually.Fourman said:Do most of you Europeans that have been using Spotify pay for the service or does free work just fine?
Spotify scrobbles to Last.fm.makingmusic476 said:I'm not seeing what makes this better than, say Last.fm, aside from being able to pick which specific songs you want to play.
Last.fm scrobbles what music I play at home, then I play a radio station consisting of all the songs in my playlist on the go.
This is why I stopped using it. I used it with my laptop so I didn't have to store music on it locally. I used to listen to the same songs a lot so putting a restriction of that made the whole program useless to me. I don't use so often that paying for it is worth it. They lost their way in my opinion. Also I don't have a smart phone.Xyphie said:10 hours / month and you can only play a song 5 times I think, also you get audio and visual ads in the application.

jorma said:I used to have the free service. It was awesome. But the current free spotify is just pointless, so most of the people still talking about it seem to be paying users, and my impression is that they are happy with what they get for the money.

We need to get some gaf playlists going as well.

For people that have used both this and Grooveshark, what are the main differences if any?
(please don't put "this is better" or anything like that, I really want to know the differences)
---
So far I see it requires a client? Does it have a web client? Do you HAVE to use the application?
Awesome, thanks. Taken.kottila said:
mitheor said:You have to use the client, yes.
And, about the other question,Spotify pays the artists; Grooveshark doesn´t.
And 320Kbps.
Fourman said:I did not know that. Time to stop going to Grooveshark.
Well the client thing is a negative.mitheor said:You have to use the client, yes.
