As I am not very much aware of how the fansub scene works, 7Th, sincere question, why is that? Is it a matter of the hard work it takes, that they want to know how the language of the series evolves so fansubbers have an idea on how to translate it...?

People who fansub usually don't care about shows like Dennou Coil or they do so much they take their time creating a quality sub, something isn't fast at all. But don't worry they'll eventually come out, this isn't Oh! Edo Rocket.

Anyone want to recap what's was good this season?
Don't know if I can go through the entire 16 pages here :)

Gurren-Lagann, extremely charismatic super-robot show with a crazily fun direction, a hot-blooded classical adventure EPIC plot that extends to infinity and a visual style full of interesting animation.
The SkullMan, anti-hero super sentai with intriguing storyline, solid presentation, good art direction even if unimpressive animation and a stylish "Marvels"-like presentation.
Darker than Black, cool moody show, being flashy without "being flashy" is probably its greatest attribute.
Oh! Edo Rocket, sleeper hit, shame it's not subbed.

Those listed above are my favorites, but I also enjoy and would recommend Bokurano, Seirei no Moribito, LoveCom and Towards the Terra. Also: wait for Dennou Coil!

Jeez... my download is damn slow and it probably has terrible quality... :/

Edit: It's on TT at a good resolution, I'll just cancel this download.

So, Dennou Coil. It's awesome. Most people won't like it because it's a kid's adventure show, probably, but you should, regardless of whether you spazz out over animation itself, because it's damn good.

Only two bad points - not enough Isako, and the evil cliffhanger ending!

Today was the best ****ing day for anime in a very long time. Both Dennou Coil primer and Gurren-Lagann episode 7 were INSANELY AMAZING. I guess that's enough for GAF, they never really read my ramblings on animation, anyway.

Gah! Here am I still waiting for episode 6! :lol I checked out the intro to Denno Coil on Youtube. Is it really that good, or is this mostly animation praise?

Bokurano 4:

When I first started watching it, I figured that the kids would die one by one after they pilot it, but after the first kid was pushed over the ledge, I thought that wouldn't happen. I was completely caught off guard when that ended up happening in this episode. This has to be one of the most horrible ****ed up things I've ever seen, I couldn't imagine having to deal with something like that.

No, it's actually really good fun; the "world" is really well thought out, the dialogue well written, and it's... "charming", I guess. Of course the animation's great, but that's only part of why it's good.

I do, man. Just for recommending Gunbuster.

The only one people "disliked" was episode 4... and that was more due to Kobayashi's direction rather than a real drop in quality. Also, episode 7 of Gurren was insanely well animated, I wonder who besides Amamiya worked here...

There is only a few days/weeks that there were comparable, but this is what the Genre has been waiting for years. Its never gonna be 96, 98, or 2001 but based on strenth of series this season might be the second best (first best has to be the season Pokemon premered) ever.

On the artistic level, the only show close to it in the states is Advitar and Nick would have to spend another 1.5 million for even that series to reach 1/10 the level of work in this first episode. Its almost ***** insane. Im gonna get pissed if this isnt number one ranked series by weeks end. This series its almost like Star Blazers in a way and if it comes to the states it has to be because if it wasnt for this Genre, the states would not had a second golden age in the 80's, which lead into shows like Gargoyles and the like.

Heh, so you took into account that recommendation. I say you should watch part 2, it brings the conclusion to a whole new level of emotional involvement and both prequel and sequel together make up the probably most touching anime finale as of today.

You may also like Gurren-Lagann as it takes great advices from a few of Gunbuster's major themes even if done in a more tongue-in-cheek fashion. Episode seven proves the "brotherly" interaction between Kamina and Simon has the potential to be on the same ground as "sisterly" Noriko-Kazumi was.

Just wait. It gets even worse for them.

So far this season I'm really enjoying Claymore, Gigantic Formula, Shining Tears, Heroic Age, Seirei no Moribito and Gurren Lagann.

Gurren 7 had some really great animation, though the ep felt sort of disconnected to me. It seemed more like a sequence of "let's do some cool animation" than an actual episode. But it was pretty cool to watch in the end. I think my favorite Gurren stuff so far is ep3 and the last 7 mins or so of ep6 (which if the ep hadn't been almost 50% boring recap, would probably be the best ep IMO).

Yeah, they finnaly seem to be giving Hei a bit more back story now and characterizing him more.

I really loved the opening to this episode
November tells the guy not to smoke in front of him because it's bad for his health, but he goes ahead and does it anyway after they try to screw him on the deal. Then after November kills them all we learn it was the cigarette smoke that makes November gain his contract powers. so awesome

Next week's episode should be really good

I thought he
hates the cigarette smoke, but had to smoke because it's what he has to do it after using his power?

More Major S3 :D

I love this series.. though it's kinda becoming a bit samey now.

It's still good fun.. But season 2 and 3 don't compare to the first, which was just amazing.
