On the lastest Engadget podcast they were open to the idea that Sprig would announce a unified pricing structure for data. Something like 50$ gets you smart phone, tablet, and laptop access.
For whatever it's worth. Probably nothing.

I'm actually waiting on a Windows Phone 7. If the offering is just the HTC 7 Pro, I might not get it and wait until Android 3.0 Honeycomb to arrive.

Then I'll make my decision as holding onto this old Windows Mobile 6.5 phone keeps my plan costs lower.
You have a TP2?

According to the Wall Street Journal, it will be a dual-screen Android phone from Kyocera.

Sprint Nextel Corp. plans to unveil a smartphone late Monday that includes a twin set of touch screens that give the device a pseudo-tablet design, according to a person familiar with the device.
The device, called the Echo and made by Kyocera Corp. of Japan, features two 3.5-inch touch screens that can be stacked side by side.

Touch Diamond.

I had a TP1, but the keyboard has a history of killing itself. It just suddenly stops working one day, so I went for a Touch Diamond.

Do miss the keyboard, but I like the smaller form factor although it's not as sleek as many other phones out there these days.

Kyocera? Since when was the last time they made a good phone?

The conference hasn't even started...

It's definitely the Kyocera Echo.

Sprint's own website accidentally went live with the information.

How fucked up is it that this is the fourth time today that I've encountered something related to David Blaine? What is going on with my life

"It's almost like a tiny tablet, but you can put it into almost any pocket."

Almost a tablet that almost fits in your pocket.

Sounds great.

Engadget said 7 "core" applications will the simultaneous two screen treatment on day 1. Any chance that those apps include an eBook or pdf reader?

They didn't even get their huge Echo prop screens to mimic what the real device would do. They're just showing shitty video of an actual Echo on each of the screens. Such lazy, sloppy presentation.

Kyocera.

I had a kyocera a very long time ago. Maybe close to 10 years ago. It was the ugliest phone out and I got clowned. Hard.
