I'm curious to see how much they changed the controls and camera from the originals. I replayed the first one some years ago on my Vita and i admit it was hard to get back to it at first due to its controls. But after an hour of playing i had no problem whatsoever. Some segments of the game were really hard though and especially the last boss which was impossible to beat this time.I have no clue how i managed to beat him back when i first played it...

I honestly didn't even remembered that option existed. You probably set the camera to active back in the day![]()
I honestly didn't even remembered that option existed. Was that also possible with the Vita version? Now i need to check it...
Not the first three games. Clunky camera aside, they were great 3d platformers. Id say Spyro was about on par with crash in terms of quality and popularity but for whatever reason the rights were sold off and spyro suffered "forgettable sequelitis" before being turned into that shitty skylanders series.Haven't played them in a while, but aren't these games kind of mediocre?
The original 3 were some of the best plaformers of the PS1/N64 era. Afterwards, yeah they were pretty bad, although I remember A Hero's Tail (Spyro 5) being alright, but Spyro 4 was pretty dreadful. Then The Legend of Spyro soft reboot, whatever it was, turned it into a mediocre platformer/beat'em up hybrid, and they did the same with the final 2 Crash games.Haven't played them in a while, but aren't these games kind of mediocre?
They were pretty good. Everything after the original trilogy was garbage though.Haven't played them in a while, but aren't these games kind of mediocre?
I just want BK to get a remake of atleast the original now...20th anniversary this year.between this and medievil.. the feels
Wait, Medievil is releasing around september too?between this and medievil.. the feels
And Crash! Its like they know that kids who played this games in their childhood now have jobs!between this and medievil.. the feels
People talkin Croc and Gex but there is only one other game that deserves a remake let alone this year. Which also happens to be the 20th anniversary like Spyro.

No they were just ports with Nintendo removed and replaced with MS Studios (and achievements). BK N&B saw better fps on Xbox One once that was BC (after some updates because at first it was worse than 360)Didn't they get remasters on the 360 and a rerelease in the Rare collection on X1? I guess they could re-remaster them and bundle them with Nuts n Bolts, but I somehow think that would tick off more people than it would please. Not me though, I'd play the heck outta that trilogy.

Probably the high resolution textures and draw distance were making you think it had new graphics since it's definitely a prettier game despite still being the same. Not to mention the little QoL improvement and smoothed out framerate were a big plus.Huh. I could have sworn the XBLA rereleases had new graphics. Quick google search shows that you're right and I'm wrong though. Guess I'm losing my mind.
Regardless, I'd definitely buy a prettied-up trilogy. Might finally cave and get an XB1 for that, or that gaming PC I've been meaning to indulge in.
The fact ms hasnt done anything with this since nuts and bolts is a literal sinPeople talkin Croc and Gex but there is only one other game that deserves a remake let alone this year. Which also happens to be the 20th anniversary like Spyro.

Do you remember how much N&B sold? I feel like it wasn't much. The fact ms hasnt done anything with this since nuts and bolts is a literal sin
Crash is so I dont see why it wouldnt be. Same goes for Pro.Xbox one X enhanced?
Partner up with Nintendo, have an HD remake on Xbox, PC and Switch. I'm certain it would sell a shit load. There was a tremendous amount of hype around Yooka Laylee as a spiritual successor (My problem with that game was it felt less Kazooie and much more tooie, with worlds so big it needed loading screens in certain transitional spots) And the problem with N&B barely selling is word of mouth. The game wasn't bad but anyone you'd talk to would think its bad because its not the sequel they were hoping for.Do you remember how much N&B sold? I feel like it wasn't much.
Public reception has definetly come around a bit since release for sure (A lot of the hate was still because MS owned Rare. That shit hasnt died off yet and its 2018), I would hope that they pull a remaster/remake to gauge interest in the series.
I actually really like it. Its a fun game, just not what comes to mind when I think BK.The game wasn't bad but anyone you'd talk to would think its bad because its not the sequel they were hoping for.
It wasnt. But as i mentioned, word of mouth really can picture on a game.I actually really like it. Its a fun game, just not what comes to mind when I think BK.
partnering with Nintendo to bring it to 3 platforms would be interesting for sure. Dont see it happening tho, unless at E3 they announce BK for smash and Xbox announces BK remake for Switch/Xbox/PC.
*slowly raises hand*I don't know who would want this but it's an impressive remake effort that deserves praise. Now only if we would get a super Metroid remake instead of these low tier efforts.
*sees it trending on twitter when revealed*I don't know who would want this
croc ... shit.
That's interesting. What was superior about the PAL versions of Spyro?Lets hope they take from the superior PAL version unlike the Crash Trilogy.
Lots of small things are different, being superior is subjective. Like gems and chest placements in some levels, enemy placements and reactions, and small stuff like that. I played the NTSC on the ps1 many years ago and the PAL version on VITA a couple of years ago, i don't mind either. One issue that shouldn't affect the remake is that the audio dialogue gets out of sync in the NTSC version because its 60hz, assuming they recorded the voices again (the quality wasn't great in the original). That's interesting. What was superior about the PAL versions of Spyro?
I know I'd prefer to have the PAL version of Crash Team Racing because Penta Penguin being the best unlockable driver just feels right to me.
