I'm glad they brought Wakfu instead of Versus, since that's where my (and everyone else's I would think) interests lie.

Joke post? Ah yes, joke post.

All right, so, *whatever* on the moogle shirts.

SE is giving out FUCKING AWESOME spandex sleeves that turn your arm into a badass transhuman augmented weapon of destruction, Deus Ex style. Best swag of Preview Night for me.

Pics probably when I get back from SDCC on Sunday.

You're assuming they have anything for Versus even close enough to actually PLAY....

Work is blocking the moogle image but I googled it and it looks like a squished old-man face. I really liked the FFXII and FF Tactics moogles and the ones in FFXIV are pretty cute too.

oh, and ALL HAIL MOG!

Off topic question, but I REALLY want to know:
I have no tickets for Comic-con. I REALLY want to see the cast of The Big Bang Theory and Dexter. Is there no chance if I don't have tickets? Can't I still see the interview panels from a distance and take zoomed pictures? Or is it completely closed off like E3?

More photos of the merchandise on our flickr account, go ahead and check it out.

And some of our Members Registration prize winners: http://www.flickr.com/photos/squareenix/5968767138/

Plus tons and tons of cosplayers (where's that neogaf cosplay thread...): http://www.flickr.com/photos/squareenix/sets/72157627265321130/

Don't forget we're updating this stuff fairly real-time on our twitter @SQEX_Members_NA
If you're at the con, drop by and sign up for Members and you could win some prizes, play the Augment Yourself kiosk, or Deus Ex demo for armbands, try Word To Your Moogle to win a custom skin PS3/ or Xbox 360, and get your badge scanned at the Wakfu kiosks for a free beta key...::whew::

Anything I'm missing?

Not the cutest Moogles in the world but certainly better then weird bunny versions from XII/Ivalice.

I really want that Lightning play arts, she looks amazing. Would also like to see the custom PS3, I got the Lightning JPN one and love it.

Wish I could have been there. I heard they were giving out Wakfu beta codes at their area, and I really want to play it. :P

Booth was just packed the whole time. The only thing I really got to try was XIII-2. It feels a lot like a rehash of XIII in the same way that X-2 felt like a rehash of X's assets. It's possible that's just because of the setting of the demo, though. Ironically, I've been playing through XIII during SDCC and gameplay wise it really feels like the exact same game as XIII with a really weird anti-climactic storyline; and Noel really seems like the stock shonen protaganist they dropped from the original game.

My wife did pick up the Fabula Nova Crystallis-style stuffed Moogle :3

Do the Vanquish and Batman Play Arts Kai figures have release dates?

They're giving out beta invites in like 2 weeks, so if you haven't signed up for one on the website yet...do.

At E3 they told us they didn't change the battle system because that was what people liked about XIII.

Can't wait to get this in the mail! This is even better than the platinum prize last year! Any idea when this is shipping out?

The platinum prize last year was definitely worth a lot more though ;_;

Yeah definitely, but I dunno... anyone can get an iPod engraved. Also, I'm not planning on selling any of this stuff so monetary value isn't that important to me. Not that I'm ungrateful or anything, but I like collectible memorabilia more than functional gifts. I love the ornate box that everything came in more than the iPod itself.

Damn. Why must SE dissapoint while other companies are showing off thier games left and right? :/
They are on a tight schedule, I doubt they have the time to make a new demo every month.

What I wouldn't give to get admission into S-E's closed theatre for this coming TGS. I have a feeling this year's is going to be amazing.
Haven't they stopped doing those Closed Mega Theater showings? If they show a game, they'll show it publicly without that nonsense.

Not exactly, what I think they have gotten a little better at is showing off the footage a few days after the show. That way it's like a treat to see the footage early for the people who actually attend, but the rest of the world can see on the internet afterward.

They did that for the Type 0 event a few days ago.

Only thing I am excited for from Square-Enix out of the Con (the other figures looked nice too).

Now if only I know when the release date is.

Oh yeah, they certainly don't upload direct-feed trailers for everyone to see the minute people are able to see them at events they attend to. But they don't really have the kind of Closed Mega Theaters like in the past where they have ninjas in all corners to make sure no footage leaves the premises, or wait for a year before releasing some 1,5 minute trailer exclusively on a DVD that comes with something or the other. Nowadays they just show them in the open at E3 and such events like all the other publishers, where anyone could probably take pictures & video and leak the footage to the Interwebz.

Even when they have some somewhat closed events (like the January event with Versus and all them other games, and the long gameplay demonstration from Type-0 at the Dissidia event in May), they haven't stopped people from recording the stuff shown.
