Not expecting FF7R-2 till either a SE Presents at the end of this year or sometime in the first half of next year. They've got a pretty good line up for their major titles set for each fiscal year with FFXVI, DQXII, FFVIIR-2, and XIV Expansions. Not to mention KH, DQ/FF Spin-off and TWEWY.

If they're going the same route as the first one, then they should release a trailer so we can get the game by 2027

they hired a new director dude from that Marvel MMO game that ppl used to play. Theyve opened new support studios. They have hit on time with their roadmap so far.

The playerbase thing that always pops up in the news is PC. Which 90% of pc games have low playerbases.

But the games not in a great place regardless. As its still buggy af. And they are behind on DLC still
