That way VI gets the lower effort while V can get a remake that takes advantage of the 3DS instead. :D

Well, Final Fantasy XV hasn't been announced yet... Maybe if they took a high-tech fantasy approach with that one instead of the medieval fantasy of XIV, they could co-exist.
 
I reckon it'll be a multiplayer demo of Front Mission Evolved on XBLA/PSN.
Hashimoto's not involved in a great deal of other stuff right now.
 
If we zero-in by games produced by Hashimoto that isn't out yet (assuming that Hashimoto is giving details about a game that he is involved in): it's either Front Mission Evolved or Final Fantasy Versus XIII... Or The Last Remnant PS3. :lol

Fuck you, V needs it more since the Job System has been improved upon several times since then. I shudder to think of FFVI in DS 3D.

Anyhow, it's probably that FFIX is going up on the PSN this week or something.

They don't seem inclined to tinker much with such things in remakes, though. III's was changed slightly for DS, but was still way more archaic than what had been done in later games.

I want to see FFV remake for DS... but then if rumors of a Gamecube-comparable 3DS are true, then a VI remake for that might actually be quite handsome.
 
Well for one I hope it's a new game and not a port of another game.

How about they make a FF and DQ crossover where you find monsters from both games and capture and train them. Or better yet how about a fighting game between the FF and DQ casts.

...yeah I'm gonna keep piping for that one forever.
