Square Enix: Should Moogles be in Final Fantasy XV? [Up: Will Be In]

What kind of DLC would you like to see Moogles in?

This question hurts me. Stahp, FFXV team....

Because...
a) this means they are still planning shit and they should be way past that point and..
b) they don't have enough of a vision or loyalty to tradition to make this obvious choice for themselves...

This is sarcasm, right?

There is no chance at all that this little twitter poll has any effect on their development. It's marketing.

A Final Fantasy without Moogle isn't a Final Fantasy at all.
Final Fantasy I did fine without them.

But on topic I could care less if they are in there or not since Square-Enix has done a good job at making me hate Moogles with the 3.0 Expansion of FFXIV.

Can't help but feel that they're asking a question when they probably 100% intend for moogles to be in the game in the first place...

I mean, not every FF game has had moogles, but at this point they're pretty much a series staple.

This is really fucking dumb lol. Obviously they'll be in, and normally this would just be a little thing to have fun with the fans about; but given this game's insane development and events/PR up to now even remotely implying that there are still things like this they haven't decided on yet looks really bad.

Eh, they don't have to be in every FF. I can't see them not looking out of place, especially if they're talking again in a corny way like in the FFXIII-saga. Then again I didn't expect them to have "unrealistic" designs like the recent Naga and Dumb Blade ones either, as it looks like they're contradicting their "based on reality" motto and their focus on real-world ecology/flora & fauna.

How is this even a question?

Shouldn't they be in the game already?

Shouldn't they already know what's going to be in the game?

What is going on?

HEY GUYS, CHOCOBOS, YES OR NO?

I voted no,
after type-0 and xiv im quite done with them for now.

Funny, the moogle was voice by Ariel Winter (from modern family)

I am actually more concerned that they are just now making this choice. Only thing that would worry me more is a week before release they asked if they should add Chocobos or not.

Nomura's version had Moogles... at least in his head.

It's hilarious how it has come to this, taking feedback way too far. They seem to be scared of doing anything as to maybe offend some people, see like people didn't like the moogle in FF13-2. It looks like after those games they are playing it too safe this time around.
FF14's crazy levels of series references was playing it safe. This is a question asked by people who have no don't seem to even know to play it safe.

moogles were always there in the beginning, they were removed because they didnt fit the game's aesthetics

HEY GUYS, CHOCOBOS, YES OR NO?

At TGS they were already decided to not be in the game because they didn't fit the world theme. Then people and interview hosts started saying they wanted moogles.

I imagine it'll just probably be some secret easter egg if they do put them in.

I guess, they probably didn't know how to introduce them in the game, what place they would have in this world.. or which appearance they would have in order to fit the more serious atmosphere of FFXV...

so.. I voted for yes :D

They were also "unsure" with Tonberries and Cactuars as well and then confirmed they were "in" a week later at PAX Prime. This is obviously some dumb marketing the geniuses at SE cooked up.

This is just marketing

This is not marketing. My grandmother could do better marketing than what they're doing right now.

Huh, Tonberry is in? As far as I know only Cactuar is in.

If the question has to even be asked, then the obvious answer is "no". If there isn't any plan to put Moogles into the game, then they're just going to end up shoehorning it in, and it'll probably feel off theme. It's not as if Square Enix has to pretend that the Final Fantasy series consists of related games, so they should have the freedom to not include any element that doesn't fit with what they're trying to accomplish.

Only a handful of Moogles please. In the XIII trilogy and XIV Moogles are everywhere. They should be a rare, brief occurrence.

...

...

You'd be surprised.

btw, if anyone didn't know, Tabata confirmed they wouldn't put Moogles in FFXV because "fans didn't ask for it enough".

Isn't marketing supposed to have a positive effect on the image of what you're trying to sell?

FFXV legitimately has one of the worst marketing campaign (probably IS the worst in history if we factor in the dark days of Versus XIII) among AAA titles.

I'll be genuinely surprised if the game does turn out well.

I mean, who would say no, without having some giant rant about how prolific it would be if Square was, "ditching the past and welcoming a new era of FF."

it's just a dumb Twitter thing...nothing to freak out about.
