SSX (2012) will be out around this time next month and I thought that it would be cool to make a thread were we could get tracks to recommend to put into the game so that we all as a community can have our own SSX soundtrack or at least have similarities in the songs that we put into the game.

Here's info on the custom soundtrack feature in SSX:

"EA Harmony"

Both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of SSX will support custom soundtracks, and EA Harmony will enhance the snowboarding experience by mixing your music in real time as you carve up a mountain.

So name some tracks to recommend (with maybe youtube links to the songs as well) so that others can check them out, get them, and then put them into the game!

1. "Papa Roach - Blood Brothers"
2. "Anthrax featuring Chuck D. of Public Enemy - Bring The Noise"
3. "Rage Against the Machine - Guerrilla Radio"
4. "Naughty by Nature - Pin the Tail on the Donkey"
5. "Bad Religion - You"
6. "Powerman 5000 - When Worlds Collide"
7. "Millencolin - No Cigar"
8. "The High and Mighty featuring Mos Def & Mad Skillz - B-Boy Document 99"
9. "Dub Pistols - Cyclone"
10. "Lagwagon - May 16"
11. "Styles of Beyond - Subculture"
12. "Consumed - Heavy Metal Winner"
13. "Alley Life featuring Black Planet - Out With the Old"
14. "Swingin' Utters - Five Lessons Learned"
15. "Fu Manchu - Evil Eye"

Haha, glad you made this thread. I've been carefully constructing a soundtrack for this game. The brilliant thing about the SSX3 soundtrack is that it had a great balance of chill-out songs and songs to get you pumped. I've tried to replicate that formula. I've tried to spice it up a bit, there's a lot of variety, music ranging from trance to hip-hop and I've also added a few of the SSX3 classics. Quite happy with it overall.

Here's what I've gathered so far:

Swoon - The Chemical Brothers
Civilization - Justice
Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider Go!!! - Trentemoller
Kids - Sleigh Bells
Panic Switch - Silversun Pickups
Miami Spider (Ponciau Edit) - Gallops
Miami - Foals
Crash Tactics - 65daysofstatic
Baptism - Crystal Castles
Kebab Shop 3 AM - Flunk
Ladyflash -The Go! Team
Let Go Of The Fear - Maps
Intro - The XX
I Know What I Am - Band Of Skulls
Take Me Into Your Skin - Trentemoller
Standing On The Shore - Empire Of The Sun
Emerge (Junkie XL Remix) - Fischerspooner
Locking Down (Dead Guys Mix) - Chicane
Polish Girl - Neon Indian
Tog - Colourmusic
Houdini (RAC Mix) - Foster The People
Young Blood - The Naked And Famous
Power - Kanye West
Blind Faith - Chase & Status
Don't Let The Man - Fatboy Slim
Winter Beats - I Break Horses
When I'm Small - Phantogram
Midnight City - M83
Up Up & Away - Kid Cudi
The Island Pt1 - Pendulum
Summer Calling (Josh Gabriel Mix) - Andain
Happy Up Here - Royksopp
Lord Knows - Drake
Heartbeat (Chase & Status Mix) - Nneka
Go - Andy Hunter
Wildcat - Ratatat

One of my playlists for the game includes nothing but tracks from the entire Tekken collection that fit. 51 songs but after reviewing it, I need to add more and take a couple out.

I'm hoping that we can mix custom soundtracks in with some of the songs on the game's soundtrack.

If not that's okay though. I already had a few of the songs that are on the official SSX soundtrack anyways. I could just add those in.

Some of the songs from SSX3 would probably work nicely. Especially Rock Star.
Yeah, Im gonna shamelessly put a few tracks from SSX3 on the rotation. Poor Leno and Leave Home will be a nice start.

Im mildly annoyed this song became so closely associated with the SSX franchise. I didn't like all the celebrity and pop culture references in SSX tricky. The first game was far better. Don't get me wrong I like Run DMC and the song but I just wish SSX tricky wasn't considered the gold standard of the franchise.

It's kind of funny how Tricky is considered that way by many considering the fact that SSX Tricky was originally going to be "SSX 1.5", a re-released special edition of SSX with some extras.

But yeah, SSX Tricky was good but I loved SSX 3 more. SSX Tricky was a bit too over the top. I loved the more laid back nature of SSX 3 with a good part of that being due to the soundtracks.

Are we going to make an actually GAF SSX Playlist for download? Its going to be quite an effort getting all these songs..

I was thinking of making an iTunes playlist (available for download) a few days before the game comes out.

I was going to do it by getting 3-5 songs from each member and then putting it all together in one big compilation. I doubt that anyone would get them all but it would be an easy way of downloading some recommended songs to eventually transfer them into the game.

Yes, anything like that would be much appreciated! I would get them all, actually!. i love music. As long as it wasn't obscenely large, I don't think it would be.

Something like 1000+, I'd never get around to testing all of them! Average size would be 300-400 but I would stretch for it however big it gets under 1000.

Yeah 1000+ would be way too much. I was just wondering to see if what you had in mind matched what I had in mind.

Yea I definitely enjoy ssx 1 and 3 far more than tricky. Tricky was too silly for me and Eddie was obnoxious.
