I thought he was shooting the new Rocky movie this year?

Edit - Nevermind. Read the bottom of the linked article.

Did people enjoy the last one? I saw about an hour of it and then got distracted by, I dunno, some tin foil or something.

But...but...that ending...

He better die in this one.

I thought it was pretty bad, but then again, I don't think any of the Rambo movies outside the First Blood were particularly good.

Yeah, this is what bugs me about the most about the upcoming sequel. Stallone actually did a great job of sending off Rambo in the last one, so another installment seems weird.

He's making another Rambo film? Cool. I've enjoyed those films, especially the first Rambo and the sequel.

Nice. Loved the last Rambo, hope this is similarly graphic.

Stallone will be returning to another familiar franchise this month. He also tweeted that he’s headed to Philadelphia to play Rocky Balboa for the seventh time in director Ryan Coogler’s “Creed.” He’ll play the trainer of Apollo Creed’s grandson, portrayed by Michael B. Jordan. Coogler last directed Jordan in 2013’s critically acclaimed “Fruitvale Station.”

Huh, I'm down for this. Feels like a natural progression for the character.

"They killed his parents and kicked his dog..

..now he will kill them and all they love..

RAMBO"

Are they still using that idea about him having to fight a genetically-enhanced supersoldier?

Or what about that idea I heard of Rambo having to face one of his old Mujahideen allies who is now a terrorist?

Awesome.

I've only seen the one from a few years ago and loved it, I should watch the older ones.

I think the last word on this was that he'll be fighting the Mexican cartels back in America. A more highly armed then usual vigilante thriller was the idea I think.

so Death Wish meets, well, Rambo, I suppose.

Honestly more excited by the Rocky sequel than anything else, because then at least he's playing a character that could actually exist. Stallone is too old to play Rambo now, honestly. The last one was enjoyable, but even then I thought he was too old.

Also ho-boy that title.

I didn't like the last one, but I'm still somewhat interested in this one. First Blood is legitimately great though.

Sounds good, but this series has to have the most inconsistent naming convention ever.

First Blood, Rambo: First Blood 2, Rambo 3, Rambo, Rambo: Last Blood

Stallone could have easily made Rambo into big boss kind of figure and marry The Expendables arc by creating a type of Outer haven/military ops base in the middle of Africa. I mean the expendables is already militaries sans frontieres. All you need is your good ol US of A government as a primary antagonist. They already fucked him over in First blood.

I think F&F has it beat:

The Fast and the Furious
2 Fast 2 Furious
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
Fast & Furious
Fast Five
Fast & Furious 6 (or: Furious 6)
Furious 7

The problem is that he won't though, because he seems to subscribe to the idea that Rambo should always be a one-man army. That was fine for the first film, because it made sense, but then with each movie it became less and less plausible as Stallone got older and older.

I'd love to see him in a Big Boss style role though, seems to be a good natural progression.
