I'm trying to do a 25 foot run of hdmi cable from my PC to my TV. I am hoping to secure it to the wall so no one trips over it. Question: is it safe to do so? I received an hdmi cable from Amazon today, and it's way too thick to do this, so I'm also curious if it's even possible.

They make nails that perform the same function without having to aim clumsily with a staple gun.

I'm not sure that I would recommend them for 25 feet worth of cable, you can just as easily hold them in place with proper raceway kits that use adhesive to keep your cables out of sight.

3M Command Cord Clips, they work wonders. The adhesive is strong as hell and comes off clean. They come in black and clear.

As mentioned, there are plenty of much better alternatives to stapling the cable. I'd go with a more temporary and easy to clean up option like velcro or some 3M clips over nails/screws. Removing nails or screws will require puddy, sanding, and painting while an adhesive should just peel off and maybe need wiped down if there is any sticky residue.

And the cable is good for 25ft right? Make sure it works well before you start DIYing it to the wall, don't want to put in the work only to find out it isn't reliable due to the length.

Are we talking actual home use staples that will simply hold the cable to the wall? Or will it puncture the cable? There's nothing wrong with the heavy duty staples that fit around the cable

No, from a staple gun but the staples that are curved.

Stapling would work (as long as you're not puncturing the cable itself obviously) but would look like shit. Some plastic cable raceways would look more presentable.

It'll work if they're wide enough but have you considered flat or skinny cables? I was able to tuck a ribbon flat HDMI cable between the carpet and baseboard.
