I disagree. That's why he's safe. The final of infinity war 2 is going to play like a power rangers episode. Six heroes each with a costume matching the colour of their infinity stone are going to say Avengers Assemble, then power up giant Mechs built by Tony stark. They might eventually combine into one giant mech and they are going to kill Thanos.
well maybe not quite like this but the idea seems right
Edit Spider-Man is definitely getting the power stone. "With great power comes great responsibility" plus it's red
Part 1 needs to end with this.

Hope Thanos is done justice. I'm just hoping they don't have Thanos rely too much on an army or the power of the Infinity Stones and he actually fights with the Avengers too. It would actually be pretty awesome if he showed up without an army and takes on everyone by himself.
We could be getting some awesome battles and looking at Winter Solider and what I've seen of Civil War, the Russo's know how to put together some great action scenes, so they could be the most epic movies ever made, if done right.
Would love to see a totally pissed off Hulk vs Thanos full on smackdown (if Thano's doesn't one shot Hulk and allows him to get angry / strong enough to take him on) that would be a pretty epic battle.

Gauntlet or not, he's way too powerful for them to try to win through combat alone. While I don't know who in the MCU can pull it off, the victory would need to be a psychological one. There's simply no one in the MCU that can hang with Thanos physically, unless they nerf him significantly.
No he just said he didn't know yet if Loki would be in Infinity War. If he isn't going to be involved until Part 2, chances are they wouldn't sign him on for a while longer.

Physically Thanos's strength is higher than all of the Avengers. So no way this movie is ending with a fist fight, it will have to be magic or something which puts Thanos down in the end.
In theory Hulk could match his strength level or go beyond it, if the battle lasted long enough (with Hulk having no known limit to his strength and the angrier he gets the stronger he gets) but Thanos would probably want to finish the fight way before that happens though.
Hell yes, love the character and Pratt's performance.
I have no idea how they will make this MASSIVE conclusion work, but Civil War should be a nice teaser/test for that.

Maybe if he doesn't use the Gauntlet right away that's how they can best him initially. But once he uses it, it's gonna need to be a betrayal or trickery that does him in. Methinks Loki will play a big role there.

Yeah the MCU has differences to the comics, so they might make Thanos a little weaker, so the Avengers can have a chance to beat him in the end, but hopefully (after all this build up) he wipes the floor with them to begin with and it takes all their combined power to beat him in the end. That would be one epic battle on the big screen.

Damn, thinking about it this would be the perfect way to end part 1.
Everyone spends part 1 trying to prevent Thanos getting all the gems, only for him to kill Vision and complete his collection and he just smiles, snaps his fingers and half of the Universe just gets destroyed and the film ends.
Leave audiences thinking 'Holy fuck! How can they stop such a beast' Of course, how you stretch out part 2 could be a problem but either way it would be the hypest way to promote it.
I honestly have no idea how im gonna cope leading up to Infinity War part 1, that is going to truly be an event.

There's no point in getting hung up on who might live or die in a story involving the Infinity Gauntlet.
They can go crazy and clean house because everyone can be brought back at the end (I don't mean this as a negative).
For some reason, the lower left panel kills me. The phone is ringing, Tony! Don't you feel helpless? Also, it's funny that Tony Stark has a phone like that.
As much as I want that to happen, Ant-Man sequel is after IW Part 1 so I'm not sure how that will work.
Unless Ant-Man & Wasp movie happens before IW Part 1 or takes place entirely in macroscopic world.

They're not just a two-parter of a single movie and they're spread out enough that I dunno if it would work, to have other movies in between where half of the universe just happens to be dead lol
But who knows. I definitely think our core team of Avengers is dying in Part 1, and the "new" team including Strange, Ant-Man/Wasp, Panther, Spidey and Captain Marvel will strike back with the rest of the GOTG in Part 2.

I know I'm not the first one to say it, but I want everyone in this movie fighting Thanos. Every Avenger, every Guardian, every Agent, every Defender, every Secret Warrior... everyone. Everyone from Agent May to Jessica Jones. Thor's buddies, Pepper still feeling the Extremis, Howard the Duck, Mockingbird, Deathlok, etc etc. Every damn one. Night Nurse, Jane, Fitz and Simmons are on the back lines, patching everyone up.

Now it just makes me think 'Why put any film between the 2 Infinity Wars films?'. I mean I have no idea how they are going to tackle it storyline wise but you would think having a separate film in between would dilute any potential impact part 1 has since you cant leave it on such a cliffhanger.
Oh well, I have faith in Marvel but damn it that idea would have been the best and most hypest thing possible
