Although, the Starbound dev cycle was... less than ideal for me. My fault for jumping in too early during beta period expecting more (the game helped foster excitement and build expectations).

Damn, looks real neat, but it's mostly AW with a bit of FE's medieval fantasy then? I can dig it. Units earning EXP too would be pretty rad, kinda like SNES AW I guess.

While this isn't a perfect implementation, I wonder why more pixel-art games don't offer a scanline option. Good scanlines make excellent pixel art look stunning in motion, although I think this probably isn't as appealing to people who started gaming in a post-CRT world.

Speaking of Advanced War, Days of Ruin was a pretty good AW game.

Days of Ruin taking a well sharpened axe to the series' feature creep was amazing
