anything with a reflection?

Looking how close they are to the screen and how huge the screen is even if their monitors would reflect something it's quite useless and probably would just hurt more than help.

im lucky, keikaku taught me the build ret is using just yesterday xD

nice to see it from a pro.
enlighten me, I didn't catch what was the difference from normal muta/ling

but ret is playing amazingly at least

edit: wow :D

I almost went out to see this in person.
Too bad I did not have any option to save money for the hotel costs.

Next year, whatever event is in Europe and is Blizzard-related, I am going there.

since the clock is off its hard to tell, but the spire comes out rediculously fast. keikaku noticed idra doing it over the last two mlg's and showed it to me. spire pops at like 7min, its crazy fast like the old 14/g/14p fast muta builds just after release and is built off a hatch first.

Oh, ok, I've pretty much always done idra style ZvT, but slightly delayed but still fast spire (8.30ish), might need to revert back to that 7 min spire.

How many gas gaysers with 7min spire? That's some serious droning if all 4 and having some defence

Edit: Any link to the build?

three. 1 at 16, 2 with lair, 4th whenever you need it.

i havent been following muta style changes because i dont typically go muta/ling, but i was used to my mutas popping at like 12min, not 8-9. -.-

the downside seems to be having 0 zerg until you reach a good number of drone.
i really want to see it against a terran who pressure the zerg into making lings.

thats the coolpart, its fairly cancelable, you're not really committed to it at expense of potential defense, but weird stim pushes can run you over because of how some timings work.

and they're still shit units

Ling + Roach is infinitely more stronger than pure roach, imho. This was also much more superior to pure lings thanks to roaches nullifying hellions..

My point is that roaches don't really nullify hellion harass especially well, they are a lot slower even on creep and they are a huge investment.

assuming the terran doesn't know how to micro.... yeah.
I really think that's not the right way to think about unit compositions, no offense.

None taken. In this game what I saw is that Roach + queen held hellions until Ret's economy was high enough to simply mass ling+bling+roach and bust the front.

Massing pure lings instead or spines are an option, but then blue flame hellions are actually worth anything, and you wont counterattack with those spines either. Imho.

i think if you want to build slow roaches, you should be aggressive.
I agree, it was a pretty huge deal that the roach warren was scouted, but ret salvaged the situation the best he could and it ended up succesful.

Didn't they say Whitera vs Thorzain next? Now it shows Naniwa vs Strelok
naniwa vs strelok was suppose to be the first match but he was missing.

i guess they are returning to the original schedule now.

Appereantly because of the delay Whitera vs Thorzain match was already played at the same time as Ret vs Tarson.

Whitera vs Thorzain 0-2

I'm certain the idea was to show everything but the delay messed up things. I guess they have to keep with the schedule so they had to cut something. I'm just sad it had to be the match I wanted see the most.

won't be surprised if the delay was because naniwa didn't show up early :/

Naniwa looks like an angry hobo.

Naniwa did not know when to back off. Hint: when you lost half of the armor on those Archons and your opponent was running back to reinforcements... bah.
